Two restaurants in the NE double as banquet halls, which collapses the hardest part of event planning — a hall that permits outside halal food — into one booking. Fatima Karahi in Castleridge and Fahad in Falconridge both run formal rooms alongside their Pakistani kitchens; Fahad's BBQ platter and chicken biryani are the house names. Neither carries the ratings of the small kitchens on this map — banquet-hall reviews never do, because a hundred guests review the wedding, not the food — so visit for a regular dinner first and judge the kitchen yourself.

Trays and drop-off

Meat & Eat in Village Square is the vertically integrated option: its own halal butcher supplies the kitchen directly, and the Iraqi-style kebab trays travel well — 4.7 from its regulars. The Taste Factory has catering in its actual name and runs 24 hours, which matters more than it sounds when the event is an early nikkah and the food needs picking up at 7 a.m. Shawdesi Bazaar in Westwinds handles Bangladeshi-style trays, a register the big Pakistani caterers do not cover.

How to order without overbuying

Count in trays, not guests: a full tray of biryani feeds 12–15 alongside other dishes, and every kitchen above will tell you honestly how far theirs stretches. Confirm halal sourcing the same way you would at a counter — one question, asked plainly — and get the pickup time in writing during Eid season, when every kitchen in the NE is running flat out.
