Had a perfect Sunday brunch buffet here! We started with delicious Halwa puri and checked out chicken curry and beef curry and paratha and omelettes and some daal. It was an amazing experience and place is quite comforting. The fresh hot tea was the perfect finish. Great food, friendly service, and one of the best Bengali halal restaurants I’ve been to! Highly recommended!
If you're a deshi visiting Calgary, stopping here is a must. I came to Canada to see Banff and Jasper with my family and stayed for a night in Calgary before our flight home. After eating burgers and pizza for days, my parents were craving deshi food and we happened to find Utsav. I am so happy we found this place! The service here is so friendly and warm, it felt like I was visiting a friend's house. We ordered kacchi biryani, beef tehari, shami kabob, chicken roast, and lassis. Every item was so delicious and perfectly made. We left feeling full, warm, and completely satisfied. Most definitely stopping here again next time I'm in Calgary!
I had an amazing experience at Utsob Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Bangladeshi flavors. The beef tehari was perfectly cooked, rich in taste, and one of the best I've had in a long time. The biryani was aromatic and flavorful, with generous portions and high-quality ingredients. I also tried their sweets (misti), which were fresh, authentic, and the perfect way to finish the meal. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. If you're looking for authentic Bangladeshi food, especially great beef tehari, biryani, and traditional misti, Utsob Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended, and I'll be back again soon.

Came from edmonton to try this restaurant. When we came the mutton biryani was over and by 5pm. Anyways we got upset as we wanted to order but we understood it was was famous thats why it was over. We ordered the chicken pulao and fish dish. I dont understand how this restaurant has so much rating. Worst bengali dish i ever i had when we came with so much expectation. The fish was burnt and they used masala gravy to cover the fish. In the picture you will see the burnt part of the fish and it was chewy. The picture is only 10% of the food. Also the skin of the fish was not removed and it was disgusting(picture attached). We had to throw most of the fish. The pulao had a foul odour. The chicken was okay. The only thing which was okay. Trust me, edmonton has much more better quality and better quantity too. I don't mind paying more to get good quality but when you give your customer food like that thinking to get away, that is bad. We came with lot of expectations and excitement but we left with regret. Not recommended.

Right place in Calgary to taste the authentic Bangladeshi meal and sweets. The place is spacious, nice and cozy. The service is great. The owner was himself there serving the guests, very caring, humble and courteous. The food is awesome and serving size is very good. They also have a wide range of Bangladeshi sweets, very fresh and authentic.
