About 280 places on this map deliver in and around Calgary through at least one app, and Uber Eats carries nearly all of them. When I counted on 1 November 2026, 255 were on Uber Eats, 222 on SkipTheDishes and 97 on DoorDash, and 82 were on all three. If you only keep one app, keep Uber Eats: 47 places are on it and on nothing else. The catch is that no app checks halal. Every place page on this site shows the delivery buttons it has and says, in plain words, what is halal there, so start from the place, then open the app.

Which delivery app has the most halal places in Calgary?

Counted from the delivery links on this map's place pages on 1 November 2026, after opening the ones this guide names, out of roughly 590 places that serve food. A place with no link may still be on an app; it just isn't linked here yet.

Skip covers most of the same kitchens as Uber Eats, so it is worth comparing the two on a big order. DoorDash carries about a third as many, and almost none that the other two don't.

No buttons on a place page doesn't always mean no delivery. Some kitchens take phone orders for pickup, and a few deliver themselves: Wingstop takes delivery orders on Wingstop's own website, and when I searched on 1 November it was not on Uber Eats, Skip or DoorDash in Calgary. For what holds up in a delivery bag, the halal takeout guide has the short version: rice travels, and shawarma is better as a plate than a wrap.

Shawarma and donair

Jerusalem Shawarma is the safe default: the branches named here use halal meat throughout, and most branches are on all three apps. Among the best-rated for delivery are Chinook on Macleod Trail SW (4.9), 32 Avenue NE (4.9), which also sends kunafa and baklava, and Seton (5.0), where the portions run bigger. In the north, Country Hills Landing NW is on all three too.

Jaffa Shawarma on Country Hills Boulevard NE (4.9, Uber Eats and DoorDash) is a halal shawarma and donair house with portions big enough to share. Flame and Bite in Bowness (4.9, Uber Eats and Skip) is Egyptian, with halal meat throughout and a garlic sauce made in house. Original Shawarma in Kensington (Uber Eats) carves whole roast chicken to order. Donair & Pizza Palace in Dalhousie (Uber Eats and Skip) is fully halal, and its beef donair is built with romaine, so it keeps some crunch. The fully halal Tahini's counter in Cornerstone (Uber Eats and Skip) is known for its crispy spicy shawarma wrap, and the one on Country Hills Boulevard NE (Skip) for its chipotle mango fries.

Chicken and wings

Henzo's Cafe in Savanna (4.9, Uber Eats and DoorDash) is fully halal and best known for its Nashville chicken burger. Darwin's Charcoal BBQ Chicken on Country Hills Boulevard NE (all three apps) is Filipino, with chicken marinated for 48 hours before it goes over charcoal, and all of its meat is halal. The Turkish Rotisserie on 32 Avenue NE (Skip) sends 100% halal roast chicken with flatbreads and garlic sauce. The Food Chemist near Chinook (Uber Eats and Skip) does wings and burgers with odd sauce combinations, on halal meat throughout.

The chains need a closer look. At the Popeyes branches on the apps, the halal part is the chicken, so order the chicken; the Popeyes guide has the detail. Mary Brown's depends on the branch: Shepard on 130 Avenue SE and Quarry Park serve a fully halal menu, while the chain's other Calgary branches with delivery serve halal chicken. The Mary Brown's guide goes branch by branch. On an app, check the address before you pay: it will often offer the nearest branch, not the one you meant.

Biryani, kebabs and curry

Rice dishes are the best delivery order there is, and northeast Calgary is where to get them. Calgary Hot Plate on 54 Avenue NE (4.9, Uber Eats) keeps a halal kitchen, and its Bihari kebab is the dish people come back for. Khan Baba in Westwinds (Skip) keeps everything halal and is known for chicken dum biryani and mutton biryani.

For Bangladeshi food, Miraj on Westwinds Drive NE (Uber Eats and Skip) is 100% halal, with kala vuna and kacchi biryani, and Utsav Sweets in the same building (all three apps) adds Bengali sweets to its kacchi biryani. In Sage Hill, Kolachi BBQ & Grill (4.8, Uber Eats and Skip) cooks Pakistani BBQ over open flame with halal meat throughout. Cloud Naan in Cornerstone (Uber Eats) stuffs naan with halal meat fillings and mixes Pakistani and Mexican flavours.

Afghan and Turkish travel well too. Kabul Bites on Edmonton Trail (4.9, Uber Eats and Skip) cooks halal Afghan food. Kabob City on Cityscape Drive NE (Uber Eats) is a halal Afghan kebab house; the malai chicken wrap and beef kofta are its most-ordered dishes. Turkish Kebab House on Macleod Trail SW (Uber Eats and Skip) buys all its meat from halal suppliers.

Pizza and burgers

Pizza Bae in Montgomery (4.8, Skip) is wood-fired and 100% halal, and its donair pizza is the one people cross the city for. Layali Cafe in the Beltline (Uber Eats and Skip) is a Mediterranean cafe where all the meat is halal, and pizza and pasta are the mainstays. Pizza 73 has its own halal menu of toppings and wings rather than a halal kitchen, so ask which items are halal when you order; the Pizza 73 guide explains how it works.

For burgers, Meltro Burger on 17 Avenue SW (4.9, Uber Eats and Skip) is halal across the whole menu and grinds its Alberta beef in house. Burger Factory in Cornerstone (Uber Eats and Skip) is a fully halal smash-burger counter known for its stuffed Juicy Lucy. The Burger Mechanic on Macleod Trail SE (Uber Eats and Skip) makes 100% halal smash burgers, with beef bacon, and English fish and chips. Fries are the weak point of any delivery, so eat them first.

Chinese, pho and noodles

Ginsoy on 109 Avenue NE (Uber Eats) cooks desi-style Chinese food, and the whole menu is halal. Pho Daddy in the Beltline (all three apps) builds pho bowls to order, and all of its food is certified halal. Nan's Noodle House on Edmonton Trail (Uber Eats and Skip) is fully plant-based, so there is no meat question at all: ramen, pho and laksa.

Breakfast, desserts and chai

Namo Cafe Bistro delivers brunch from its Beltline and Macleod Trail SW branches, both halal and both on all three apps. Its Edmonton Trail branch calls itself halal-inclusive rather than halal-exclusive, so say what you need when you order there. Turca Breakfast House on 4 Street NW (Uber Eats) does Turkish breakfast with halal meat in its cooked dishes. Henzo's does brunch too.

For something sweet, Drip N Dip in the Beltline (Uber Eats and DoorDash) is a fully halal dessert cafe: crepes, waffles and cheesy knafeh. Rollz in Saddle Ridge (all three apps) is a vegetarian, gelatin-free, halal dessert shop. Phillistines on 21 Street NE (all three apps) makes more than 150 Palestinian sweets, none with meat. Sasa Cafe downtown (Uber Eats) is halal and known for its Dubai waffle. The Chai Bar is all-vegetarian; its Westwinds branch is on all three apps and its 88 Avenue NE branch is on Skip.

Chestermere, Airdrie and Okotoks

Chestermere has more halal delivery than its size suggests. Lakeside Meat Masala (all three apps) is a halal butcher whose Indian takeout counter cooks with the meat it sells, and Masala Meats and Takeout (Uber Eats) works the same way. The Curry Culture (Uber Eats and Skip) gets its meat from the halal butcher next door, Pizzorama (Uber Eats) uses halal meat toppings throughout, and Pita King (Uber Eats and Skip) is a halal Lebanese shawarma and donair shop. More in the Chestermere guide.

In Airdrie, Tahini's on Yankee Valley Boulevard is fully halal and Shawarma Palace serves halal shawarma, both on Uber Eats and Skip, alongside the Airdrie Popeyes and Mary Brown's with their halal chicken. In Okotoks, Almira's Mediterranean Grill (Uber Eats and Skip) serves halal meat, and the donair is the dish regulars name first. The Airdrie and Okotoks guide has the rest.

Late at night

Going by their listed hours, about 100 of the places with delivery stay open past 11pm on at least one night. Listed hours drift, so the late-night guide checked closing times on the restaurants' own websites where they publish them. Jerusalem Shawarma on 17 Avenue SW is open until 3am or later every night and is on all three apps.

Halal meat and groceries

Raw halal meat is thin on the apps. Only a few grocers and butchers on this map show a delivery link, and what the apps sell is mostly their cooked food: Village Pita Bakery on 28 Street SE (Uber Eats), whose halal statement covers its meat pies, so ask about anything else; Basha Foods International on Sunridge Way NE, a halal grocery and butcher whose hot-food counter is on Uber Eats and Skip as Basha Bites; and the two Chestermere butcher counters above. For a lamb, a case of chicken or cuts to order, phone a butcher: the butchers guide and the butchers by neighbourhood list them.

What the app won't tell you

A delivery app takes the restaurant's word for what it serves. A "halal" tag on an app is not checked by anyone, and plenty of fully halal kitchens never add one. A place with halal options rather than a halal kitchen looks exactly the same on the app as a fully halal one. That is the difference the fully halal vs halal options guide explains, and it is why the place pages here say what is halal in words: "the chicken", "the meat pies", "the halal menu". When it is options only, write it in the order notes and phone if you are unsure. For what a certificate means and who issues them in Calgary, see the certification guide.

Common questions

Is food on Uber Eats halal if the restaurant says so?

Only as far as the restaurant's own word goes. Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes and DoorDash don't check halal claims, and many halal kitchens don't use the tag at all. Check the place's page on this map, which says what is halal there, or ask the restaurant.

Which delivery app has the most halal restaurants in Calgary?

Uber Eats. On 1 November 2026, 255 places on this map were on Uber Eats, 222 on SkipTheDishes and 97 on DoorDash, and 82 were on all three. 47 places were on Uber Eats and no other app.

Does Wingstop in Calgary deliver?

Yes, through Wingstop's own ordering on its website. When checked on 1 November 2026, the Deerfoot Meadows Wingstop was not on Uber Eats, DoorDash or SkipTheDishes. It serves halal chicken and its Canadian menu has no pork; the Wingstop guide has the detail.

Can I get halal food delivered late at night in Calgary?

Yes. About 100 places with delivery list hours past 11pm on at least one night. Jerusalem Shawarma on 17 Avenue SW is open until 3am or later every night and is on all three apps. The late-night guide checked closing times on the restaurants' own sites where they publish them.

Is halal delivery available in Chestermere, Airdrie and Okotoks?

Yes. In Chestermere, Lakeside Meat Masala, Masala Meats and Takeout, The Curry Culture, Pizzorama and Pita King all deliver through the apps. In Airdrie, Tahini's and Shawarma Palace do, and in Okotoks, Almira's Mediterranean Grill.

Can I get halal meat delivered in Calgary?

Not much through the apps. A few grocers and butchers on this map show a delivery link, mostly for their cooked food: Village Pita Bakery (its halal meat pies), Basha Foods International's hot-food counter, Basha Bites, and the butcher counters at Lakeside Meat Masala and Masala Meats and Takeout in Chestermere. For raw meat, phone a butcher from the butchers guide.

How do I find halal restaurants on Uber Eats or Skip?

Searching "halal" in an app finds places that use the word in their name or tags. That misses halal kitchens that don't, and it includes places with halal options only. It is quicker to find the place on this map, read what is halal there, and use the delivery buttons on its page.
