The Turkish Rotisserie
A small, family-run Turkish rotisserie on 32 Avenue NE, 100% halal, and home to one of the better-value plates in the city: a whole roasted chicken for around fifteen dollars. What to order The whole chicken, which comes with two flatbreads, a tomato sauce and sides and has a proper Middle Eastern rotisserie flavour. The chicken leg platter is the single-portion version, with rice, bread, two sauces and salad. Add the cheese borek. The buns and doner wraps are made in house rather than bought in, which for a rotisserie this size is the difference worth paying for. Good to know Plan on takeaway. There is a small seating area, but it is limited and the interior is plain - reviewers say so and do not mind. Nothing is rushed, which is the recurring compliment and also the wait. Often one person on the front, so allow time at a busy hour. Patio seating, good for children, with step-free access and free parking. Rated 4.8 from 700 Google reviews.
