The Kabuli Lamb Shank is a must-order. The meat is incredibly tender, practically melting off the bone, and the rice is perfectly spiced and aromatic. Every bite is pure comfort. To wash it all down, the mint lemonade is wonderfully refreshing, not too sweet, just perfectly balanced. The ideal drink to complement the rich flavours of the food. This is the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommended!
Kabul Bites is a must-visit in Calgary! I came all the way from Vancouver, and I’m so happy I found this place. The food was incredibly delicious, full of authentic Afghan flavor, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The customer service was excellent—very welcoming, friendly, and caring. You can really feel it’s a family-run business that takes pride in its food and hospitality. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back!

I had the lamb shank and then added a chicken skewer for additional protein. The shank was excellent and the chicken was done beautifully (tender and moist). The spice rice that it comes with is fantastic. I had no intention of eating all 100 grams of the carbs that it contained but couldn’t stop until I finished. I’m back 3 days later going with the mixed kabob platter this time. It didn’t disappoint.

The Kabuli rice was perfectly done, topped generously with sweet raisins and carrots that added a beautiful balance of flavour, and the barbecue meat was seasoned to perfection - tender, juicy, and truly unforgettable.
