We ordered a chicken Shaworma salad and a chicken shawarma plate, pick up. The two meals were picked up and on time. Very courteous young fellow. The salad and rice were ok but the chicken was very salty and strong flavoured to the point we could not finish it. I know we have had good food here in the past so would not write Amira’s off! Just the chicken could not be eaten tonight.

I have been going to Almira’s regularly for about 5 years. The Donair and Falafel are my favorite along with the Fatoush salad (amazing). The owner and his staff are always warm and welcoming. I have never had a negative experience. Last year we ordered platters to cater a family event. The food was delicious (family of 4 of beef and another of shawarma), portions were generous and everyone left the event raving about the food (and with a doggy bag). We went there for lunch on Sunday 14th September 2025. Ordered Variety and Falafel Rice Plate. Both really favorable good portion sizes. The young man was very courteous and I highly recommend this place !

Best donair, hands down. We’ve been to both the Okotoks and Taza locations, and every visit feels the same: like family. When friends come up from Lethbridge, Almira’s is always the first stop they ask for. Almira’s is an unassuming fast-food spot that delivers a serious flavor punch with authentic Middle Eastern donairs. The vibe is casual, counter-service, and perfect for a quick but deeply satisfying meal. What really sets them apart is their commitment to freshness—everything tastes made with care, not rushed. The portions are generous, the value is excellent, and you always leave full and happy. Simple, consistent, and genuinely good food. 🌯❤️ My son went to Almira’s often in the Summer and when we went in last night, they greeted us and then said to my son “the usual”. They remembered us. 😊💗

We looked online to see which place in Okotoks seemed to serve the best Shawarma. Based on the review, it appeared this was the place to try. It didn't disappoint. The food was incredible, full of flavors with large portions. Both young men who looked after us were personable and very helpful. I highly recommend the lamb Shawarma.
