from GoogleWe came here from British Columbia after hearing great things about this place, and it was totally worth it. The owner is from Chittagong, and from the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcome. The service was warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. The flavors were balanced perfectly not too spicy, not too mild just right. You can tell the food is made with care and stays true to authentic Bengali taste. To top it all off, they surprised us with complimentary payesh, which was a very thoughtful gesture and tasted amazing. Great food, great people, and a wonderful overall experience. If you're craving authentic Bengali food, I highly recommend giving this place a try
Had a wonderful experience at Miraj Bangladeshi Restaurant. The food was fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere. Every dish reminded me of home-cooked Bangladeshi food. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious South Asian cuisine. I will definitely be coming back!
This is absolutely the best Bengali restaurant in Calgary by far! Starting from the appetisers to the main dishes everything is incredibly flavourful and mouth watering! I have been a regular customer for 3 years now and have never been disappointed! They have a wide variety of foods and my recommendations that you must try are the beef tehari and kala vuna, these are my favourites and I can never get tired of them! Another amazing thing about this restaurant is that it is 100% halal!! Their prices are very fair and the quantity of food is perfect and so worth your money! They also have buffets during Ramadan and during the weekends which you must try out! The owner as well is incredibly friendly and always enlightens the atmosphere with his presence! Everything about this place is perfect and you absolutely must give them a visit whether you want to discover Bangladeshi cuisine, or you are Bengali yourself and would like to feel back at home!
Traveled from BC and stopped here for some bite. We were offered some Kacchi Biriyani , because it was recently cooked. Along we ordered Daal som daal puuri, borhani, and finally chaa. Daal puuri: It was okay taste, we had it as appetizers. Kacchi Biriyani: huge portion , disappointing taste, however meat was very tender. The 3 star is given based on that. (Would not recommend) Borhani: not sure what is tasted like. (wouldn’t recommend it.) Chaa: best chaa so far I had in Canada. 5/5. Would try it again. Service and environment is very great. Everyone is very friendly. 5/5 Additionally, we ordered some Rui fish and Haleem to go. Will try to update once we back to BC.
Miraj Restaurant is one of the top spots for high-quality Bangladeshi cuisine. The food is incredibly tasty, and the service is flawless! Their weekend brunch buffet is a must-try. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone to try.

I had been craving authentic Bangladeshi cuisine for quite some time, so I finally asked a good friend where I should go to satisfy that craving. Without hesitation, he recommended Miraz Food—and I can honestly say, what a remarkable recommendation it turned out to be! From the very first bite, I was transported straight to the heart of Bangladesh. The food is exceptionally authentic, beautifully prepared, richly aromatic, and bursting with the depth and complexity of traditional Bangladeshi flavours. Every dish seemed to carry its own character, perfectly balancing spices, texture, and freshness. But the experience extends far beyond the food. We ordered the Bengali breakfast thali, and it was absolutely awesome! 😍 Everything was fresh, delicious, and full of authentic Bengali flavors. The portion was great too. Really enjoyed the whole meal and would definitely order it again. Highly recommended! ❤️
