Al-Ansaar Islamic Centre
Al-Ansaar Islamic Centre is a prayer space and madrasa in the business plaza at 63 Ave NE in northeast Calgary. There is no food here, but it is a good place to pray and to learn. The centre teaches classical Islamic studies to children and adults, at every level from beginner to advanced. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming rather than stiff, and the teachers are sincere and knowledgeable, so the community feels close. Before you go Check prayer times on the centre's website before you go, especially for fajr. Parking in the plaza is easy.
