I’ve been to Urban St. Donair a few times now and they never disappoint. The donair meat is always fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, and the sauces are honestly some of the best I’ve had. The portions are generous, and everything is made quickly without sacrificing quality. The staff are friendly and welcoming every time I go in, which makes the experience even better. The place is clean, and you can tell they take pride in their food and service. If you’re craving a solid donair in Calgary, this spot is definitely worth checking out. I’ll for sure keep coming back.
First time trying, glad we did, but not in a rush to come back. Food: we picked up a couple of platters and it was good but not memorable. The meat is pre-cut making it a bit on the dry side, flavour was ok but on the mild side. Tabbouleh salad was fresh and very nicely prepared - this stood out for us. The sauces were unfortunately underwhelming, most were quite runny (hummus( and too light on flavour (sweet sauce as well the garlic). Flavour was fine but nothing special. Service: very prompt and friendly. Value: at $19.50 per platter it was ok but not great. Overall, there are better options in the area, or at least where we live. But glad we tried it.
Always delicious with very generous portions. Around $16(?) for a large donair poutine and super full before even finishing half of it. The donair spring roll was also delicious!
I was genuinely excited to try Urban St. Donair because of the great reviews, so this was extremely disappointing. My order arrived cold and was prepared incorrectly. I double-checked it against what I ordered, and the drink delivered was also completely wrong. Unfortunately, this wasn’t just a minor mistake: the incorrect food and drink contained ingredients I’m allergic to, which meant I could not safely consume any of the order. I very rarely complain about delivery. If food arrives a little cold, late, or there’s a small mistake, I generally let it go. In this case, however, the order was so incorrect that I literally could not eat or drink what I paid for. Thankfully, the delivery platform addressed the issue. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, especially after seeing its excellent Google reviews. Unfortunately, based on my delivery experience, I have to give it one star and cannot recommend ordering delivery from here. I hope the restaurant takes greater care with order accuracy, particularly when allergies are involved.
Always fresh food and genuinely friendly staff every visit. This is my go-to spot and it never disappoints. Don't let the one-star reviews fool you, give it a try.
I’ve ordered from this place many times over the past 2 years. I have always enjoyed it but the coxinhas have gotten increasingly small. I ordered it through Uber Eats and I can’t believe I paid $4 for this 😭I feel scammed The pastel used to have more filling now it comes empty Everything else is good
I ordered delivery off of Skip because I saw they had a BOGO on beef donairs. I've never been to, or ordered from Urban before. The portions are huge and arrived hot n fresh! I'm struggling to finish this fat n juicy donair! I got mediums. I can't image how big the large is lol
