from GoogleA shawarma location where you can be served quickly, I went there on a busy when I wanted to eat quickly and I could get my lunch in less than 5 minutes while in other restaurants in the area I would need to wait for a long time to be served. The shawarma plate came with rice, choice of salad, a falafel and even a baklava and a pita bread.
I asked for a donair box instead of the chicken box and didn’t realize the lower price (compared to the platters) meant it comes with either meat and veggies or meat and rice — I assumed it included both. When I received my meal and mentioned my misunderstanding, I offered to pay for the rice since it was totally my mistake. Instead, they kindly gave me FREE extra rice that was just the perfect amount and even added a piece of baklava. Amazing people — so understanding and generous. I’ll definitely be back! And of course, the food was amazing.
Well it is the place when ypu them aunties abusing their nephew 😂 feel bad for him the way she just shoo him out of thier territory. They do it very well and authentic. Needs more spicing. Nice falafels
We ordered takeout from Falafel King during our vacation, and it was by far the best food we had during the trip. The order consisted of: [1] donair poutine, [2] donair wrap, [3] falafel wrap, and [4] beef shawarma platter. First off, Falafel King is very liberal with the amount of donair they layered on both the poutine and the wrap - they were loaded with so much delicious donair that it puts my Bay Area-local restaurants to shame. And it was good, like so tasty. For the poutine, the gravy was just right - it was neither overly watery or viscous.. The yellow potatoes used in the poutine were fried on demand, so they came out extra crispy. The beef shawarma platter was also pretty loaded with delicious meat, rice, veggies, and large-sized pita (the same ones used to make the wraps). To top it off, the order came with a free side of Baklava. The hot sauce used in the wraps had some real heat to it, even though it wasn't slathered on. Service was fast, and the two gentlemen working the counter were very courteous. As for the layout of the restaurant, it seemed clean - but we did not linger given the order was takeout.
Nice long narrow cozy place in the busy St Avenue pedestrian only. Clean washroom in the basement. Around closing time after 6 pm, I got to eat, they got to sell, got a veg falafel wrap. A big portion than usual I had tried, came with a sweet, but falafels were dry ( no moisture), hummus wasn't that great, felt the whole wrap a bit dry to eat. May be it is closing time, I don't know, but gave me stomach knots and couldn't sleep overnight after, struggle! May be one should try during busy times around lunch? 🙂 Seen good reviews but sad 😢 one for me. I hope next time it is better.

I ordered chicken shawarma box. Its totally a waste of money. Worst experience with the food quality and taste. The chicken is so dry and cold. Got hummus and that's totally tasteless. Totally disappointed with the food as I got it for my lunch and had to throw it out. 👎
requested a mix plate, got a meal kid instead a normal meal for 24$ plus 2.5 $ drink , plus 18% tip=30 $ for meal for kids... bit of rice( very little), very little meat beef and chicken. The employee seemed uninterested in servicing me... very disappointing... maybe it is time to eat elsewhere...but the food was delicious...

What to order
The donair poutine and the donair wrap are loaded generously with donair, and the potatoes for the poutine are fried to order so they come out crisp. The beef shawarma platter comes with rice, salad, falafel and pita, and some orders include baklava. The hot sauce on the wraps has real heat even when it is not slathered on.
Before you order
The donair box and the chicken box are priced differently, and the lower-priced box comes with either meat and veggies or meat and rice, not both. Read the board and ask if you want both. One diner who assumed both was given extra rice for free after the mix-up, which was generous of the staff.
Prices are low, and service is quick at lunch, which suits a short break. Diners say the falafels are nice and the food tastes authentic.
