from Google🍜 One of the best halal Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in Calgary! Ca-Town Halal Meat House has some seriously amazing beef and lamb dishes. I only stayed in Calgary for two days, and I loved it so much that I came here both days in a row! 😂 The portions are HUGE—very much like the generous portions you’d expect from a Dongbei-style restaurant. And I really appreciated that every table gets a jug of their homemade special plum tea. It’s so refreshing and delicious—not overly sweet like many store-bought plum teas. 🍹 The lamb soup was one of my favorites. It was incredibly flavorful without needing any extra seasoning—the natural flavor of the lamb really shines through. 🐑❤️ On our second day, we ordered the beef noodle soup and cumin lamb with rice. Oh man… weren’t they amazing! 🤤 Normally, when I eat at other noodle shops, I have to add quite a bit of chili oil and vinegar to bring out the flavor. But here? I didn’t need to add anything at all. The broth and dishes were already so flavorful and well-balanced. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order here. Everything we tried was delicious, portions were generous, and the flavors were authentic and satisfying. One more thing I really appreciated: there’s parking at the back, and you simply enter your license plate on the iPad at the front desk. Super easy and convenient for customers. 👌 If you’re in Calgary and love halal Chinese, beef, lamb, noodles, and bold Northern Chinese flavors, definitely give this place a try! Two days in Calgary → two visits. That says it all. 😂❤️
Good place if you are craving dongbei food or really like lamb and beef. The tables also have a jug of prune juice which pairs well with the food. The food came out very quickly although the service was a bit lacklustre. We ordered a few different dishes and enjoyed them all although sometimes the flavour didn’t have much depth Sesame Black Triped - delicious, tripe was bouncy and chewy Braised Beef and Tendon Pot - the small is a good size and very flavourful. However, we found it way too sweet, tasted more like southern braised beef and not dongbei style Lamb Skewers - not much flavour, the meat texture wasn’t great either Crystal Noodles - this was my favourite dish. The la pi and vegetables were so refreshing. The sesame sauce was good and didn’t overwhelm the dish. I think it was the same sesame sauce used for the tripe, so had I known that I wouldn’t have ordered the sesame tripe as well since it was a lot of the same flavour
Only the person who took our order didn’t understand English very well. It was very hard to order with her we skip 2 items just because she didn’t understand the name. Food is good.
Went with my parents and we got beef tripe, lamb skewers, golden egg yolk wings, Kung Pao chicken, stir-fried choy sum, and soy-glazed beef. The lamb skewers were tender and incredibly flavourful. If we didn't order so many other dishes, I would've wanted more! The wings were crispy and a little sweet, very delicious. The choy sum was buttery, firm to the bite, and the leaves soaked up the seasonings. The soy-glazed beef was my personal favourite. Sweet and savoury beef with sliced cucumbers and sheets of tofu skin, I nearly ate the whole dish myself! I didn't eat the Kung Pao chicken or the tripe myself, but I did take photos of them haha. The staff were all kind and the service was quick despite how busy it was. When I'm in the area, I'd love to come again.
One word, amazing! We went there with our Chinese friend who helped us choose the food. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing and delicious. For three people we ordered six peoples worth of food just to try the variety, each one was delicious. The service was super fast and the dishes kept coming. Kudos to The host, severs and the chef. We are looking forward to going back soon. Thank you!
作为一名北方人，从小吃清真馆子长大了应该还是有点发言权的，扒肉条我给9分，很地道，忘记拍照了，羊杂汤和烧麦8.5。很庆幸和欣喜卡城终于有自己的清真馆子了。 补充个建议，如果量能再大一点就更好了。 2026.10.22补充 昨晚又去了一次， 点的牛肉段烧茄子和小份炖鱼还有两份烧麦 牛肉 我们确实是很晚去的，牛肉段的肉有点哈啦味儿，应该是放了很久了，关键溜肉段吃的就是外焦里嫩，但没有任何外焦的感觉，只有各种软和哈啦味儿 炖鱼的话实在是没有任何鱼的味道，我如此重口的人都觉得齁咸，咸辣的没啥鱼味儿的炖鱼…… 然后烧麦中规中矩 最夸张的是酸梅汤，确实是免费的，但是你们自己尝过不 …… 个人建议 没必要 直接给Tap Water 就行 不给也行 太夸张了 你们自己尝尝 看到曾经那么火爆的中餐厅如今沦落成这样真是有点唏嘘
第一次来卡村牛羊馆，点了大鹅，味道很不错！鹅肉鲜嫩入味，分量也挺足，整体吃得很满意。下次有机会还会再来尝尝其他菜！

My party of four was seated right away for a late lunch; food came within 5 minutes of ordering, and they had complimentary plum juice (酸梅汤） for palate cleansing. I highly recommend the beef crepe and lamb soup
Amazing food!! The staff were very accommodating especially with our newborn. Offering authentic halal chinese food at a reaosnable price/portion. Will definitely be coming back for the sizzling beef and the beef skewers😌
Sorry, but honestly we were disappointed. First, the service could be better. Second, the menu doesn't say anything about the ingredients and no one stay with you so you can actually ask about the dishes. Some dishes are named "lamb..." but then we found out it was actually " lamb tripe" not actual lamb meat. So make sure to ask first. We would have appreciated if the people there took the time to explain things for us as we are not Chinese. My kids ordered lamb and beef skewers. Very tiny! The taste is average. Most dishes are too hot/spicy. We tried Chinese food before and it was top. No special Chinese design other than some decorations they added to the wall. For fairness, some dishes came very fast especially the soup. However, the skewers and sliced beef took more time.

Northern Chinese Muslim (Hui) cooking with halal meat throughout is the focus at this Chinese restaurant on Centre Street NW in Crescent Heights. If Hui cooking is new to you, start with the lamb soup, which tastes of the lamb itself without extra seasoning.
What to order
Try the handmade lamb shumai and the lamb dumplings, then move on to the beef dishes: the soy-glazed beef, the sizzling beef and the beef noodle soup. The cumin lamb with rice and the beef crepe are also worth ordering. Diners who had the lamb skewers say they are tender and full of flavour, and the portions are big, so order a few dishes to share.
Before you go
The room is cosy and gets busy, so call ahead if you have a particular dish in mind. Some dishes with lamb in the name are lamb tripe rather than lamb meat, so ask your server if you are unsure what is in a dish. Some dishes run spicy, so ask about the heat if that matters to you. Food often arrives quickly, and the dishes keep coming once the order is in. Every table gets a jug of the house plum tea, which is refreshing and not too sweet.
