The people there were nice and friendly, although the food took a while it was freshly made so it had good reason. I ordered a meat poutine and the taste was impressive, I would go here again I highly recommend.
This food was absolutely delicious. I had the beef kofta - which was flame cooked and cooked perfectly! Served with two kinds of rice, salad, fries and pita! Plus an amazing green chutney. It was enough for two meals for me. But highly recommend this restaurant :) sooo good.
Just tried their crispy shawarma and it has to be the best shawarmas I’ve had in my life!!! Made soo fresh and perfectly crispy on the outside!!!! Decently priced and one shawarma was big enough for my husband and I to share! This was a great find and can’t wait to go back to try other things on the menu!!!!
We walked into Avis Shawarma just 5 minutes before closing and the gentleman at the front was incredibly kind and welcoming. Even though he mentioned their crispy shawarma wraps were no longer available at closing time he happily made us two without hesitation. He even gave us baklava on the house which was such a thoughtful gesture. The wraps were absolutely amazing and packed with flavour. Highly recommend this place!
This place is the bomb! ❤️ the most delicious rice I’ve ever had in a shawarma platter!! The platter very filling, and the people running this joint are the nicest, friendliest people on the planet. It sounds like I’m exaggerating but I’m not. I’m probably not playing it up enough to be honest. It’s super clean and the service was very fast and the staff love to talk to you and make conversation with you and make sure that you’re having a good time. Would recommend this to everyone! You can’t go wrong with this place. Worth the price and the service is great.

Best shawarma
So good! The platter was absolutely delicious , the meat was super tender, everything tasted fresh, and the service was impressively fast. Definitely worth ordering again 👍

Afghan kabob and shawarma at 15566 McIvor Boulevard SE in McKenzie Towne, where the halal meat runs across the wraps, platters and family-sized meals. Everything is made to order, so arrive a little early at busy times.
The crispy shawarma comes straight off the grill, and diners say one is big enough to share. The beef kofta platter is flame-cooked and comes with two kinds of rice, salad, fries, pita and a green chutney, which one diner said was easily two meals. The rice on the platters is a highlight. Meat poutine and fries with shawarma have also been recommended.
The crispy wraps can run out late in the day, so come in earlier if you have your heart set on one. Staff are friendly and happy to chat, and one late arrival was even given baklava on the house. It is a good pick for a family dinner or a group, and you can dine in or take out. Parking is free, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
