10/10 service and great product
On August 31 I purchased 15 steaks of ribeye from TK Grocery and Halal Meats on McLeod Trail that was freshly cut in front of me. I asked the pleasant store owner to confirm the grade was AAA (several times) which he did. He was also nice enough to give me a discount. At home I found the steaks to be tough, with gristle and large chunks of fat. Instead of the BBQ they were eventually used as broth and stew meat. I don’t know if I should have returned them after the first one but after repeatedly confirming the grade and cutting them in store themselves I wasn’t interested in a debate about meat grade or spending more time and effort on what should have a pretty straight forward purchase. I delayed in writing this review because I knew it was going to be critical however decided I’d be hypocritical if I only submitted reviews that were positive and not serve Google reviewers if I didn’t. Don’t know if was a one off but my only experience there was disappointing.

The shelves carry everyday groceries alongside the meat, so you can cover a week in one trip.
Good to know
For premium cuts such as steak, ask the counter about the grade and how the cut is trimmed, so you know exactly what you are buying. The counter is always happy to take a question, and shoppers praise the service as excellent, with fresh products and reasonable prices.
