Gong Cha (36 St NE)
The Marlborough Gong Cha on 36 St NE, next door to Taketomi Village and the D Spot - an owner-run bubble-tea shop with a post-it wall, bubble waffles and a habit of giving groups free things. What "halal" means here As with the other Gong Cha stores on this map, this is a community-flagged halal-friendly stop rather than a certified kitchen: no meat, drinks made to order, and recognised by the community as somewhere to go after a halal meal - and this plaza has several. What to expect Drinks that do not skimp on toppings, a bright clean room, and an owner who is often on the floor. Big groups have been handed free bubble waffles and keychains. The weekday evening shift is the weak point: one 8pm visit got no greeting while the staff washed dishes, and a regular found a weekday return very different from a Saturday. Good to know Open 11am to 9pm, 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Dine in, take out or delivery; coffee; step-free entrance. Rated 4.4 from 230 Google reviews.
