Meats were cooked really well. I would have given 5/5 if they were more generous with the kabulee (carrots and raisins) on the rice, and if the rice had a little more flavor. Skip the dessert and find a local spot. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would come back. Thank you!
I can’t get enough of this place! The food is always amazing. The rice is perfectly cooked with so much flavor, and the kebabs are absolutely delicious I always get the chicken and beef. The man who works here with his wife are incredibly friendly and welcoming, they make you feel right at home every time you visit. Great food and even better hospitality. Highly recommend!
Quaint little mom and pop shop, the food was amazing. Top tier quality and delicious, especially the bolani and the meat platter. Only thing was there was a bit of a wait but its ran by a sweet couple and they were pretty popular when we went. The aunty also made fresh qabuli pulao for us which was delicious with the bbq. The meal felt like a home-cooked meal and from the heart, will definitely be back!
Genuinely surprised first by the hospitality the owners showed and then the food. The place was small and empty besides some take outs but we got a chance to speak with the lovely owners who were happily cooking and sharing their stories while we watched our food get cooked. We got a lamb shank meal and some skewers of chicken tikka, beef, lamb and chapli kebab. Firstly that kabuli pulao was the best I have personally had so far. It was just the right amount of sweet and salty to match with all other food items. My favourite was the chapli kebab and chicken tikka skewers. I never order chicken tikka as I feel it never has the right spices or cooked tender but the ones we had were absolutely juicy and delicious! The owners were kind to offer us a grilled chicken as well which so crispy on the outside and tender. The dishes are not spicy which is nice as it comes with 2 sauces on the side - a mint and yogurt and the other a spicy yogurt that pair well and give the kick if needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried Afghani cuisine. It feels like a grilling session with friends in a backyard. Very homely. Will definitely be back for my favourites :)
My family and I recently visited this new Afghan restaurant and we were very pleased with our experience. The owners were extremely kind and they offered great service. The food was absolutely delicious! The technique that they use to cook the kabobs made them so tender and flavourful and the bolani was so light and crispy. The place itself could be a bit bigger but it was homey nonetheless. We will definitely be back again!
سلام وطنداران ، مخاطب من شما هستید و به همین دلیل به زبان دری مینویسم . ما بخاطر رشد کار و بار وطندار بسیار خرسند‌میشوم وبه شوق و ذق میرویم ولی متاسفانه یکبار نیست چهار مرتبه به همین مکان رفتیم غذایش کیفیت نداشت . یکروز رفتم کباب با برنج فرمایش دادم بدبختانه برنج چند روز قبل پخته شده همرای کباب اور من فقط کباب خوردم گفتم برنج تان مرده و پرسیدم هدف مرده دانستی ؟ بلی من برنج صبح پخته کردیم و نخواستم جای رسمی شکایت کنم هدف اصلاحات بود متوجه شان ساختم غذای پخته شده و چندبار گرم شود درست نیست . پاسخ ندهی تیلفون و عدم زمان شناسی و خواستم همین بخاطر اصلاح شان همین چالش ها و‌مشکلات شان همرای تان طرح نمایم . به امید بهبودی و‌کیفیت غذا و خدمات شان
We thoroughly enjoyed our Chapli Kebabs! This place offers excellent quality for the price paid. The Chapli Kebabs were seasoned in an Afghani style than in a Peshawar style for any connoisseurs. The rice was fantastic, and the included salad and dressing were elevated beyond what other similar restaurants offer. Our order took about 20-25 minutes, which was worth it. You can dine in or take out. The gentleman (chef) was so kind! We will be back.

Very nice and friendly staff with good taste of food
They have tasty food and excellent customer service. Last time I went to order some food that contained beef, the owner had went out and bought the freshest meat from the butcher. Would definitely return!

A husband and wife cook and serve everything themselves at this small Afghan restaurant at 1040 12 Ave SW, where the meat is halal throughout.
Start with the mantu dumplings, then the bolani or the meat platter. The chicken and beef kebabs are the ones to order, and the lamb shank is also on the menu. The kabuli pulao is a strong rice choice, with a good balance of sweet and savoury, and diners say the kebabs are cooked tender. Diners also say the bolani is light and crispy, and that the staff are sweet and welcoming.
The dishes are not spicy. The two sauces on the side, a mint yogurt and a spicy yogurt, let you add heat. The owners will talk you through the menu, which has photos, and the food feels like a home-cooked meal.
