The lady was friendly and helped me choose a Signature Kabob Plate for $19.50 with 2 choices of Kabobs, I chose chicken and beef. I can’t take very hot and spicy food, she got mild favour for me. She also suggested next time I should try their lamb…soft and juicy. Fresh green salad. Yummy naan….Bright with big front windows.
Food was great. First time trying this place and we are very happy with the service and food. Restaurant is clean and location is good. We had the beef and lamb kabob plate to share. My kid is a picky eater but she really likes this place.
Ordered a mixed platter but salad was missing and portion amount was so less. Taste was good. Update: I called and they asked us to come in the next day. We went the next day and they were kind enough to give us the the missing salad as well as an extra kabob. The person serving us was also kind and understanding.
The food is above average. Some changes required though. The protein portion is less compared to carbs and salad. Either increasing the salad and reducing the carbs, or increase the protein portion.

Everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-balanced—the grilled meat was perfectly cooked, juicy, and nicely seasoned, while the salad added a refreshing touch. The fries were crispy and served hot, exactly how they should be. Service was impressively fast without compromising quality, which makes it a great spot even when you are short on time. The atmosphere is simple yet stylish, with a clean and comfortable seating area that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a great place for a satisfying meal. Highly recommend!
Taj Kabob was a great surprise. The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted authentic—every dish was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous, and you can tell they put care into the food. The restaurant was also spotless, with a very clean dining area and an overall well-kept, welcoming atmosphere. It’s always nice when a place pays attention to both food quality and cleanliness. Definitely worth visiting, and I’ll be coming back.

Food was absolutely amazing. I come here often and the meat is always cooked right, tender, and juicy. Recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good meal!
Overall a surprisingly good experience. Clean environment and enthusiastic staff. Food was in decent portion with fresh materials and appropriate seasoning. I would recommend everyone to try and definitely will come again!

In the far north of the city at 11135 14 Street NE, this halal Afghan street-food counter makes its kabobs from scratch every day, and it is one of two Taj Kabob branches.
The Signature Kabob Plate is the order to start with: two kabobs of your choice on one plate, with chicken and beef the usual pair. Ask about the lamb too, which diners say is soft and juicy. Rice, fresh green salad and naan come with it. Wraps and bowls are quicker if you are short on time.
Spice and portions
If you cannot take much heat, ask for it mild, and the staff will adjust it. Plates lean towards rice and salad, so if you want more protein, add a kabob for a fuller plate.
The space
It is a modern, clean counter with big front windows rather than a sit-down dining room, and it goes down well even with picky young eaters. The grilled platter is praised for being juicy and well seasoned, and the fries come out crispy and hot.
