Proportion is way too small. Donair is basically a single layer. Same as vegetables. I watched them literally put a single layer of donair side by side just to cover the vegetables. Be reasonable and customers would actually return.
Exactly what I needed!! I was also offered Arabic coffee and a baklava. I love Pita Basket! I have a very basic/uncommon order and they’ve always honoured it.
Ordered at the last minute for a corporate event today, and it was hand-delivered and beautifully presented. Everyone commented on how fresh and delicious everything was. There was more than enough food for everyone, and I was truly impressed. I would definitely recommend them for both meals and corporate events—you can genuinely tell the food is made with heart and authentic halal care.🤍🤍
I randomly found this place while in Calgary for business. We were walking downtown, looking for something to eat for lunch, and found Pita Basket on the corner. It did not disappoint! The service was great - friendly & prompt - and the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and clearly made day of. The portions were very generous, and the price was extremely reasonable. The hummus and pitas were fantastic! It was great to stumble upon this place and I hope to return in the future. Highly recommend checking them out.
Haven’t been here for years so I stopped in for a quick lunch. Had the falafel platter and it was excellent. Good portion and great flavors.

Easily the best Lebanese in Calgary. Owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Even gave us free desert!
A great place! I ordered a cheaper item on the menu, a beef donair wrap, and it was pretty good! It wasn't as spicy as i expected, but that's just my spice tolerance. Maybe others will find it more spicy. But the portion size was very large. All the food is halal as well. I got a small sample of arabic coffee for free too! The guy who made my wrap, Muhammad, was also super nice and cool. However I went to wash hands and the men's bathroom sink cap is broken, but the sink still functions fine. Also I felt the shop was a bit dark at daytime. But these are minor issues that don't impact my experience much. I will visit again for sure!
This place was terrible. I ordered the platter with an extra lamb skewer on the side, and the lamb was undercooked and tasted awful. The food quality overall was very poor — nothing like the Pita Basket in Airdrie. The service was also bad. The employee was adding toppings without even asking what I wanted. The rice was undercooked as well and tasted terrible. As someone who regularly eats this type of food, I would give this place a very low rating, especially for the quality of the food. I paid $28 for the meal and it was completely overpriced and a waste of money. I definitely won’t be coming back.

For a lighter lunch than a shawarma platter, have one of the stuffed pitas. The hummus and the pitas are a highlight, and diners say the Arabic coffee and baklava are worth asking about if you have time. Staff are accommodating with special orders, and one regular says the cafe has always honoured an unusual order.
The falafel platter is excellent, with good portions and great flavours. The portions are generous, and the price is reasonable.

The cafe also caters, including at short notice. For a corporate event, one order was hand-delivered and beautifully presented, with more than enough food for everyone.
