from GoogleThis Venezuelan restaurant is 100% gluten-free! The whole menu is celiac friendly. My wife and I could not believe it!! We ordered the Uuca Bunuelos for a starter, the Mehada Beef arepas and Pabelon Criollo for the mains, we ordered Coconut vanilla cake and a box of Alfajores for dessert. Each and every item we ordered was incredibly delicious!!! And did I mention that it was completely gluten-free?! Our server was lovely and very knowledgeable about the menu. This restaurant IS A MUST if you're in the area! Especially if you have a celiac disease, or need to accommodate for gluten sensitivities.
This was my first time trying Venezuelan food, and Heaven Restaurant absolutely lived up to its name! Having celiac disease, eating out can sometimes feel like navigating an obstacle course, so walking into a restaurant where everything on the menu was safe for me was an incredible experience. I went with family, and we started by sharing the house made corn tortilla chips with three dips. The chips were wonderfully light and crispy, and all three dips were delicious, but the beans were the standout for me. They were so incredibly flavourful that I could have happily eaten a bowl of them on their own. For my meal, I ordered the trio of tacos with beef, chicken, and pork, which gave me a chance to try a little of everything. Each one was generously filled, flavourful, and absolutely scrumptious. We somehow managed to save room to share a piece of tres leches cake for dessert, which was a lovely finish to the meal. The service was outstanding from beginning to end, and the atmosphere was warm, comfortable, and inviting, right down to the background music. Most importantly, I felt genuinely welcome and completely at ease eating here, which is something I never take for granted with celiac disease. Fantastic food, wonderful people, and a great atmosphere. I will absolutely be returning!
Really really enjoyed the service and the food was fantastic! So many great things to try and all gluten free, no worrying there. Lots of great vegan options. Everything was so fresh and tasty, highly recommend!
If you are looking for great Venezuela food this should be your restaurant of choice! I got the buñuelos, pulled pork arepa, and the pataconwich mechada beef and let me just say everything hit just the way I wanted it to! Also the passion fruit juice was absolutely delicious as well! I definitely recommend getting it with your meal! With all of this said the name of this restaurant really tells you how the food is. It's literally heaven. So just take my word for it and stop by! You'll thank me later.
We never skip this restaurant whenever we’re in Calgary. It’s humble, unpretentious, and totally focused on what matters: great food and friendly service. No fuss, no gimmicks—just a warm welcome and a reliably delicious meal. If you’re tired of overhyped spots and just want excellent food served with a smile, this is your place. Highly recommended.
Probably the best empanadas I’ve ever had! The Black Bean and Cheese empanadas are definitely a must-try.
The food was incredible. I want to try every item and eventually I will.

Went back last night, and everything was delicious, again. The cheese balls (bunuelos?) were a stand-out. The pataconwiches were really good, arepas were good. Tres leche cake wasn't as incredibly moist as I've had elsewhere.
We went as a family to celebrate a birthday and a promotion! We had recently seen Heaven restaurant featured in Diners Drive Inns and Dives and it sounded great and as a bonus, everything is 100% gluten free. We sampled their traditional meal, both types of sandwiches and their delicious “cheese ball” style appetizers. The food was tasty and unique. Service was friendly and helpful. The sitting area is small and was very chilly during this latest cold spell. They also have a variety of frozen items to take home with you and many take out orders were leaving while we were there. It was good and I’d like to go again

Service is friendly and the atmosphere is warm, and the seating area is small and cosy, which suits a small group. Frozen items are sold to take home, and takeout is popular. The restaurant takes reservations, which helps for a family celebration.
