Alhumdolillah very busy and congested mosque but beautiful and peaceful. I really enjoy khutba and bayan with different Imaams all the time… they’re all very knowledgeable… MashaAllah

About Downtown Calgary Mosque (IISC)

At 1009 7 Avenue SW in the core, the Downtown Calgary Mosque is a place of prayer. If you work downtown, it is a calm place to pray Dhuhr on a lunch break, away from the busy streets outside.

Jumu'ah

There are two Jumu'ah prayers, and both are well attended, so arriving early gives you a good spot. Check the times with the mosque before you go. The khutbah rotates between imams, so you hear a range of speakers, and visitors say they are all knowledgeable.

Before you go

The wudu areas and washrooms are kept clean, and visitors praise the upkeep. Parking is free while you pray, which is rare downtown. Visitors describe the mosque as peaceful and cozy even in the middle of a busy downtown, and say it is a good place for young people too.
