If you are Turkish, Muslim, and whether you recently moved here or have been living in Calgary for decades, this is the only non-partisan, non-affiliated, welcoming community center and mosque in the city for Turkish people. Our culture and religion are made great when we as a community come together and share in experiences, prayer, and conversation as a people. Beyond the compulsory prayer that is offered here from the Imam from Türkiye every Friday, there are also programs offered like learning to read the Quran, every Eid there are group communal prayers with free breakfast, picnics during the summer, and more.
(5★) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited this place to leave my business cards and had the opportunity to attend the Friday (Jumu’ah) prayer led by Imam Mehmet. Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I had the chance to meet many kind people from the community. After the prayer, tea and sweets were generously offered, which made the experience even more special. I recently moved from Toronto and run a family-owned residential and commercial painting business. I truly appreciate the hospitality shown by the Imam and everyone who attended. I would be very happy to visit again. Thank you all.
