from GoogleThe last time we ordered here was before the relocation, and the chicken was really good. Yesterday, my partner was craving Korean fried chicken, so we decided to try it again. Under the new management, everything has gone downhill. The chicken tasted like it was soaked in old oil. Korean fried chicken is supposed to be golden brown and crispy, but this was dark, burnt on the outside, and undercooked on the inside. We barely ate any of it. The next morning, we both woke up with severe stomach pain and spent most of the day in the bathroom with what was likely food poisoning. Please save your money and your stomach this place is definitely not what it used to be. AHS should really pay them a visit.
The server was very friendly. We went around 5:30pm on a Sunday and they were sold out of all of their hot side except for fries. We got the cilantro lime and the Chipotle BBQ sauces, the Chipotle bbq was ok, chicken was fried well, crispy and not dry. The cilantro lime one had wilted cilantro on it and the cilantro lime sauce didn't taste like cilantro or lime. Some of the fries were crispy but some bits were soggy, and it was not salted at all. The pesto Mac and Cheese side was downright disappointing, the noodles were overcooked and there was no pesto, it was just mayonnaise and green food coloring. The black sesame slaw was did not match the description at all. What we got a kale with thousand island dressing, not a black sesame in sight.
Great find! My kiddo and me loved the chicken. Really good value for $. The atmosphere is meh. I wish they had more drink options. Again, really good fried chicken so much better that fast food chains, bbq chicken or Dave's hot chicken.
I'm torn, the food didn't taste bad per se, but the friend chicken definitely was fried with oil that was way too old, the chicken was almost burnt and the oil had a very fishy smell to it. I did enjoy it at the end of the day but myself and my friends that ordered with me all had terrible stomach aches and gas for a full day after.
We went on Aug 24th. Last order is 10pm. Dine ends at 10:30. So what’s open until 11? Upstate their hours would be helpful. Then the staff also almost overcharged, good thing we paid attention to the till.
First time here Not sure if this is the standard, or just an off day but the chicken was either overcooked/burnt or the frying oil was really old. I can see the potential and like the meat was tender and juicy but the whole thing had a burnt/old oil taste. Was hungry so I ate it but I'm kinda disappointed ☹️
Horrible customer service. We came here for lunch all of the lights were off, no music playing. We thought they were closed. They had no hot sides (on a Sunday afternoon at 1:45??). Someone came in to order and the girl at the front said “I’m not clocked in but we have no hot sides”. If I was the owner I would be embarrassed that this is the front of my store.
The buy one get one is a pretty good deal, but it can't hide the problems with the food and services. The fries and the chicken were both soggy and steamed. Seriously, get a better takeout container. The chicken itself was decent and a bit greasy. And I can really tell how much care goes into the service: I asked for utensils, and there wasn’t any utensils in the bag when it arrived. As survival food, it's not bad: plenty of protein, carbs, and a little veggies. But as food that tastes good and that you actually enjoy eating, it's nowhere close.
One of the worst food I’ve had recently. Everything was burnt and dry. Definitely not recommend it.
Okay only. Chicken was mostly crispy, but usually Korean chicken is crispier. They got the order wrong despite the receipt being right. Fries were soft and soggy even though I tried within 5 mins of getting them, so threw them out.
Chicken was over cooked and dry and tough as beef jerky . I seen so many reviews already about the dryness I’m not sure why they aren’t doing something about it . Business and sales are gonna go down definitely not eating here again .

The older of the chain's two Calgary branches, on 4 Street SW in Mission, serves Korean fried chicken on a fully halal menu. The chain has switched its Calgary and Edmonton locations to halal, so this branch follows the same menu.
Order the double-fried wings, drumsticks or boneless pieces, in soy garlic or gochujang BBQ. The chicken is good value, and children tend to enjoy it. Add the corn fritters on the side, since the fries can come out soggy.

Diners praise the value and say it beats the fast-food chains. Going at a busy hour, when the fryer is turning over, is the best bet for freshly fried pieces. Order a mix of flavours to share, so everyone can try the soy garlic and the gochujang BBQ. Diners call it a great find for a family meal. The coating is mostly crispy, so eat it while it is hot.
