We were crossing the street and heard a familiar music 😃 When we entered, what we received was an unforgettable example of true Kurdish hospitality!!! From the very first moment, we were treated like family, not customers. Tea, drinks, dancing, a birthday celebration, and so much genuine kindness ❤️ All given with open hearts and without taking any payment!!! This wasn’t just a restaurant experience, it was a beautiful cultural moment I will always carry with me!!! Iranians and Kurds share deep historical, cultural, and emotional roots. From now on, this kindness and hospitality will always be what I remember when I think of Kurdish people. Thank you for making my birthday so incredibly special!!! 🤍✨

My husband's work had their year-end party at Ishtar Family Restaurant, and we had such a great time there. I highly recommend checking it out and don't be shy about asking questions. The staff were really good about explaining all the different items we tried. My favorite part of our dining experience was the Ishtar salad, the BBQ platter (the chicken is amazing) and the baklava... oh and the Arabic Tea. Honestly, it was an incredible dining experience. I can't wait to go back and share what I've learned with friends. It's a great space. Perfect for small to medium sized gatherings.

Made a trip to Calgary for vacation. Arrived at hotel kinda late and was feeling very hungry. Seen Ishtar was open late and had a decent variety on the menu. I will say I was not disappointed one bit. Once I walked in the door, was greeted even tho it was packed. Got seated, wanted to order to go and had my order ready within 15 mins. Got complimentary drinks while waiting and treated like family. If I ever find myself in Calgary again, I will gladly be a patron here again!!! 🥰

Yo!!! We had a blast night! 😃 They food is awesome and oh my god, Farasha is like our friend. She brought us tasty snacks and shot, adjusted the lights and even picked beautiful music for us. 😻 My friend can't stop complimenting the food and the services. She even started dancing and made me cry. Don't get me wrong, it's my tear of joy. 200% recommend and will definitely go there with my badminton friends again. 🥰
