D Spot Dessert Cafe Banff
Reviews of D Spot Dessert Cafe Banff
from GoogleAbsolutely loved it! I was travelling in Banff and came across D Spot for a quick bite, and ended up coming back multiple times. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. Although they are primarily a dessert business, the savoury food was just as good! I’d highly recommend the poutine and pizza.
Absolutely loved the staff they were super friendly and professional!! The food was delicious and big portions for the dessert We ordered the cookielicious It has beautiful views of Banff as you can see in the pics Washroom were super clean! Would recommend adding hooks 🪝 so we can hang our jackets or purses 👜 Otherwise 5/5 Highly recommend to all my family and friends
I was in Banff for a three-day trip and ended up coming to D Spot three separate times—it’s that good! Located conveniently on the first floor, the place has a vibrant, uplifting energy the moment you walk in. If the weather is nice, definitely try to sit outside because the views from the patio are absolutely awesome. Over our three visits, we tried a bit of everything. We stopped in for breakfast and coffee one morning, came back another time for incredible chicken wings and dessert, and made a final stop just to grab their rose latte (highly recommend!). Beyond the food, the service is what really sets this place apart. Even on a busy afternoon, we were seated incredibly fast. Our server, AJ, was absolutely spot on. He was running back and forth from the kitchen keeping up with the rush, but still managed to consistently check in on us and the other tables. Fantastic experience all around. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
My friends and I came here to eat after our walk. The food was great and our server Holly was awesome. We had pizza. Wings and fries ( forgot to take a picture). The pistachio perfection cake and Tiramisu Iced latte was delicious.
What an amazing place!! Saw an ad on Facebook and decided what better on a snowy day than to try something new. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the owner and sat immediately. He mentioned it was their grand opening and they were having a BOGO sale. The food and drinks were awesome. I strongly recommend the Chipoltle Bacon hotdog (Sausage) and the group loved the dirty sodas. The staff are great, the menu is insane and the restaurant is so bright and cheerful. If you are in Banff, do not miss out!!!
Un vrai paradis pour les amateurs de desserts. Tout était super bon et le service était au top, avec un accueil chaleureux. Je recommande vivement cette adresse, vous ne serez pas déçus !
Very good service and great decor
Ambiente ótimo, comida saborosa e atendimento ótimo!
About three weeks ago, my friends and I stopped by late at night after the shop had already closed. I believe the employee’s name was Deepak (I hope I’m remembering correctly). Even though they were closed, he was kind enough to still make us ice cream. That small act of kindness really made our night and left a lasting impression. Thank you, Deepak, for going above and beyond with such amazing customer service. We truly appreciated it!
Fanciful, Optimistic, Fun. This place could come out of a story book and is a carnival of desserts. We were impressed. Red Velvet cake, Rocher cookie, and the Carmel sundae were incredibly delicious. Too bad it is out of sight on the 2nd floor because it is a top notch place for desserts.
About D Spot Dessert Cafe Banff
Halal dessert cafe on the second floor at 112B Banff Avenue in Banff, part of the D Spot chain. It is upstairs rather than at street level, so look up for the sign. Besides desserts it serves breakfast, savoury plates and coffee.
What to order
The cookielicious and the sundaes are the main desserts, followed by the red velvet cake, the Rocher cookie and the pistachio perfection cake. Diners say the portions are big enough to share. For something savoury, the chicken wings, the poutine and the pizza are the orders to try, and several diners recommend the poutine and pizza in particular. The rose latte and the dirty sodas are the drinks to get.
Before you go
The patio has views of Banff when the weather allows, so sit outside if you can. The room is bright and the staff are friendly and quick, even on a busy afternoon. Go with a group if you want to try several desserts.
The staff
Staff have gone out of their way for guests, including making ice cream for a group after closing. The washrooms are kept clean.
