Reviews of Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen
from GoogleKamal the manager, she is the utmost polite; caring and generous lady I've ever met. I feel like she needs to be recognized for her charismatic demeanour and attitude. All the staff is great, approachable and provide excellent customer service. Obviously the food is amazing 🤩. Thanks 😊 will be back again soon!
Came in today and had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Charlie! Such a kind and incredibly positive human being, truly such a breath of fresh air, especially in this industry. While we waited for our food, we watched him make his way around his restaurant making sure everyone was satisfied, as if it was a table service restaurant. He packed our order carefully and checked everything off on the receipt to make sure nothing was missed. Such a wonderful experience for ‘just’ a fast food restaurant. 5 stars for Charlie!!
Disappointing experience, the piece came in the box, this one should not have been even processed for cooking. 8 piece of chicken for $28. ate 7 and the last piece had hardly any meat. had to chew the bones. was hungry. skin colour matter in this outlet.
I am not coming back to this restaurant again. I ordered 8 pieces mixed white/ Dark and got 4 legs+ 4 thighs. SCAM.
I believe his name was Charley (apologies if I got that wrong), but this was our first time visiting this location and we were really impressed with his service. He made the decision process easy and took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly. We felt very well taken care of and will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely Disgusting Experience! What Happened to This Location? I visited this Popeyes during dinner time, and it was honestly one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The store wasn’t even busy, yet there were easily 100–150 pieces of chicken sitting on the racks, completely filled, with pieces stacked on top of each other. God knows how long that chicken had been sitting there! I don’t care how much chicken management decides to prepare during slow hours. That’s their problem, not mine. When I’m paying full price for my food, I expect fresh chicken. I’m a customer, not someone asking for charity! I politely requested freshly cooked chicken, something the previous management had always accommodated without any issues. Instead, the employee told me, “Management has changed. We only sell what we have, and then we cook more.” Are you serious? Since when did changing management mean customers no longer matter? It’s not my fault your kitchen decided to prepare more chicken than it could sell! Then came the biggest disappointment: the new General Manager. After speaking with him, my first thought was, who on earth thought this person was qualified to run a restaurant? Absolutely no understanding of customer satisfaction, no effort to resolve the situation, and a completely disappointing attitude. I knew the previous GM and the lady who managed this location before him. Both understood customer service and what it meant to manage a restaurant. The difference between them and the current management is honestly shocking. What makes this worse is that I actually used to love this location. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the service was excellent. It’s unbelievable how quickly a good restaurant can lose its reputation under poor management. To the owners: Are you even paying attention to what’s happening at your restaurant? Because from a customer’s perspective, it certainly doesn’t feel like it. You’ve lost a loyal customer, and I will NEVER return to this location. Not just because of the chicken, but because of the arrogance, dismissive attitude, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. New management shouldn’t mean lower standards. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what it felt like here.
I was very disappointed with my experience at this Popeyes. While purchasing my food, I noticed several employees standing around and chatting instead of helping maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the restaurant. What was even more disappointing was seeing an employee sitting in the dining area with their feet up on one of the chairs used by customers. In my opinion, this was unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for the workplace and for the restaurant's guests. At the same time, I observed that only one employee was actively cleaning the dining area—sweeping, wiping tables and chairs, and keeping the floor clean—while others appeared unwilling to assist with these tasks. This created the impression of an unfair distribution of work and a lack of teamwork. I also noticed employees frequently speaking in their own language while on duty. While I understand that this is natural for many people, it is still important to follow company policies and maintain a professional environment, especially when interacting with customers. I hope management addresses these concerns to improve the customer experience, employee professionalism, and fair cooperation within the restaurant. The food itself was fine, but the quality of service and workplace conduct needs significant improvement.
About Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen
Popeyes on Eversyde Avenue SW in Evergreen, in the far southwest of the city, where the chicken is halal, as at Popeyes restaurants across Canada.
It is a fried chicken counter with a kids menu, so it suits a family dinner or a takeout order for a group. Staff are attentive, and diners say they pack orders carefully and check everything against the receipt. One diner calls it the cleanest Popeyes they have visited, and visitors say the food is fresh.
Check your order
Before you leave, check a mixed-piece order, so you get the mix you asked for. Ask staff to check the box against your receipt, and look over the pieces at the counter before you walk out.
