This was hands down the most incredible Jummah experience I’ve had in my entire 26 years of life. The location itself is breathtaking—listening to the khutba while taking in the stunning, beautiful scenery of the mountains brings a whole new level of peace and reflection to the prayer. But what is even more inspiring is the dedication of this community. They have not missed a single Jummah prayer here in 10 years! That kind of consistency and devotion in a mountain town is genuinely remarkable. Whether you are a local or just passing through on a trip, do not miss the chance to pray here. The absolute best place for Jummah. May the organizers be immensely rewarded!
Prayed Jumma over there while visiting Banff. Location was very close to Banff town. It has clean washrooms and baby diaper changing station as well. Mosque is located on the third floor. Take right from the main entry door and go all the way, you will see stairs and go to the third floor. They do a amazing khutba before the Jumma prayer. Highly recommended for praying.
Had the pleasure of visiting Banff and praying Jummah here! Finding a place to pray while traveling can sometimes be challenging, but this masjid is such a welcoming blessing for the community and visitors alike. It's a beautiful, peaceful space to fulfill your prayers. Highly recommended to any Muslim travelers visiting the are.
Alhamdulillah I prayed Jumua prayer this Friday, May 15th at this location. The local brothers did a good job establishing such a beautiful musallah here at the heart of Banff. May Allah give them great rewards both in this dunya and akhirah.

Prayer space in the Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre at 100 Mt Norquay Rd in Banff, used by the Bow Valley Muslim Association for daily and Friday prayers for Banff and Canmore. Prayers are held upstairs at the centre, as the directions below show.
Finding the prayer space
At the recreation centre, the musallah is on an upper floor. From the main entry door, go right and follow the hall to the stairs, then up to the third floor. Staff find space when they can, and otherwise the second-floor elevator landing is used. Daily prayers run while the centre is open. Visitors say the washrooms are clean and there is a baby changing station.
Friday prayers
In Canmore, Friday prayers alternate weekly between two venues, so check the association's social media for the Canmore venue each week. In Banff, Friday prayers have been held in a rented room near the roadside welcome sign and at the recreation centre, so check the association's website before a special trip.
The khutba
The khutba is well regarded, and visitors have praised the community for how welcoming it is to travellers. Visitors say it is a peaceful space for prayer, with the mountains in view from the area around the building.
