Highly recommend their specials - we got the Kerala style mutton dum biryani two nights in a row and I already miss it. I also love their dosa and the mulakittathu fish curry is really unique and so flavourful. Each dish tastes really different from the next. Forewarning - because it’s real Indian food some dishes can be quite spicy (but that’s how you know it’s good). It’s definitely a more upscale spot but the portions are still very big (if you order a main each and share you will be stuffed). Their bhindi masala (okra) is also a must. Also lots of gluten friendly options. Best indian food I’ve had in Alberta by far!! Definitely a gem.
Excellent place to enjoy authentic Indian food with a warm and inviting ambiance. We visited as a large group of 14 people, including 6 kids, and despite the restaurant being quite busy, they accommodated us very well. Our server, Jerome, was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the evening. The service was impressively fast, and the food was absolutely fantastic. What truly stood out was the owner, Manish, personally visiting every table to ensure guests were well taken care of. We genuinely appreciated this thoughtful and welcoming gesture. We tried the Manchow Soup, Paneer Tikka, Plain Dosa, and Malai Kofta served with super soft naan and flavorful Jeera Rice — everything was delicious and full of authentic taste. Highly recommended restaurant if you are visiting Banff and craving great Indian food with excellent hospitality!

Despite how busy the town was, there was absolutely no wait. The staff greeted us warmly and seated us on their beautiful patio immediately, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. The restaurant itself is stunning. The décor is elegant, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating a warm, vibrant atmosphere that's perfect for families, couples, groups, or anyone looking to enjoy an exceptional meal. What truly makes Zayka stand out is its incredible variety of authentic flavors. It's the only place in town where you can enjoy the irresistible taste of Dilli ki Chaat, authentic Madras Masala Dosa, and flavorful Hakka Chinese—all under one roof! Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, freshly prepared, and bursting with authentic flavors that reminded us of home. Whether you're craving North Indian street food, South Indian classics, or Indo-Chinese favorites, they have it all. The service was outstanding throughout our visit. The team was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect without ever making us feel rushed. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in food, service, and ambiance all at once, but Zayka truly delivers on every level. Another great feature is their private party room, which is perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate gatherings, family functions, and other exclusive celebrations. It's a wonderful space for hosting memorable events. Don't miss their daily lunch buffet from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. It's an excellent opportunity to sample a wide variety of their delicious dishes and enjoy exceptional value. We were a group of five, and what impressed us the most was that he took all of our orders without writing anything down. He remembered every single order perfectly. That level of professionalism and attention to detail was truly remarkable. Our server, Anish, was equally fantastic. He was friendly, welcoming, and very attentive throughout our meal. He even brought us appetizers while we waited for our food, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor and exceeded our expectations. Combined with the outstanding customer service, this made for a memorable dining experience. We highly recommend Zyka Restaurant to anyone visiting Banff. Thank you, Phillip and Anish, for making our visit so enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back.
One of my favourite things to do in a restaurant is to honour the chef. I do that by not even looking at the menu. I hand the menu back to the waiter and give the chef instructions to put out his favourite meal. What would he like to eat that night? We did that at Zyka’s tonight, and what a feast for the senses - smell, sight and taste were all treated very well. Each course was well presented and all the components were described. The wait staff were excited to join us in our adventure. They were exceptional. Course after course wowed us. The flavours both delicate and at times spicy. Never overbearing but the variety was exceptional. In all fairness, I would have never ordered those items simply because I didn't know them. So this was a real treat.
10 stars!! Dined at this halal reataurant twice during our short stay in Banff. The food is delicious, perfectly spiced, not oily, and good comfort food. Hearty-sized portions for a fine dining restaurant. The service from our waiter Ritin and the rest of the team was incredibly impressive - every need was met and exceeded with a smile. Looking forward to eating here again in future!

We actually dined here twice during our stay in Banff and this was our favorite restaurant in town! Food was amazingly prepared, completely halal, and service was unmatched! Our waiter, Ritin, had great attention to detail and made sure that our every need was met! Looking forward to dining here again the next time we are back!! :)
Had a wonderful dining experience at Zyka! We ordered the Kadai Paneer, Hakka Veg Noodles, Keema Naan, Cheese Naan and other breads. Everything was delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Service was excellent as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and ready to help with recommendations and requests. The ambiance was warm and creating a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Great food, great service, and a great overall experience. I would definitely recommend Zyka.

Upscale halal Indian restaurant at 211 Banff Ave in downtown Banff. It cooks South Indian dishes alongside the North Indian standards, in a dining room with mountain views.
What to order
Come for the Kerala-style mutton dum biryani and the mulakittathu fish curry, which diners find unusual and full of flavour. One diner ordered the biryani two nights running. The dosa and the bhindi masala are made well too. From the North Indian side, the kadai paneer, the malai kofta and the keema and cheese naans are reliable choices.
Ordering tips
Some dishes are properly hot, so say if you want it mild. Portions are large, so two mains between two people is usually plenty. Book in the busy season, though walk-ins are usually seated quickly. The restaurant copes well with large groups, and diners say the owner is often on the floor checking on tables.
The room
Staff have seated guests on the patio quickly even when the town is busy, and the service is attentive and kind. Diners say the prices are good for Banff.
