Gong Cha bubble tea at 3625 Shaganappi Trail NW, inside Market Mall near the food court. It is halal-friendly rather than certified: there is no meat on the menu, and drinks are made to order. The milk teas and tapioca pearls are the strongest part of the menu. The pearls are soft, and the waffles are a good match for a drink. Fruit smoothies can come out heavy on syrup, so stick to the teas if you want a reliable cup. Service is mixed. Some staff are friendly and helpful, while others are quieter and less welcoming at the counter. Before you go Ask for napkins when your drink is handed over, because they are not always offered.
