Persian Plate

A small, family-run Persian restaurant in Sage Valley Common - koobideh, chicken kebab, lamb chops and beef tenderloin over saffron rice, with zeitoon parvardeh and doogh on the side and Persian ice cream to finish. Marked fully halal on the community Halal Map YYC. What to order Persians in the reviews vouch for the authenticity. The beef tenderloin platter and the koobideh are the plates that get described, the lamb chop is juicy, and the fries - oddly - are singled out as exceptional. Then the orange blossom, cardamom and rose water ice cream, which one reviewer put in their top two of all time. Sam, the owner, looks after the room and is named in most reviews. Good to know Open daily noon to 9pm. Seating is limited - it is a small room. Good for children and groups, vegetarian options, step-free entrance, free parking. Dine in, take out or order for delivery. Rated 4.7 from more than 900 Google reviews.
