The far-northwest branch, in Sage Hill Plaza off Symons Valley Parkway — the only D Spot north of Stoney Trail, and the one worth knowing if you are out that way and everything else has shut. Google files it as a dessert shop rather than a restaurant, and it is the more counter-like of the branches, but the menu is the chain's. What to order The Biscoff milk cake is the standout by some distance - light where the rest of the menu is rich. The mini classic strawberry funnel cake is the smaller order, and the tiramisu cake and strawberry banana crepe both get named. On the savoury side the fries come out well, and there is a veggie burger for anyone who is not here for sugar. Good to know Open 11am to midnight Monday to Thursday, to 1am on Friday and Saturday, and to midnight on Sunday. The coffee is good enough to come for on its own, which is not true of every dessert counter. Dine in, take out, delivery; step-free entrance, free parking.
