I found this place after reading the reviews and was so excited to try my first fresh hand-pulled noodle spot — and it completely lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is super small with only a handful of tables, but that honestly adds to the charm. It feels authentic and focused on the food. What absolutely blew me away was watching every single order being made with freshly hand-pulled noodles. No shortcuts. As each person walked up to order, the gentleman behind the counter would grab a ball of dough and immediately start hand pulling noodles for that specific order as it was rung in. Watching him work was mesmerizing — pure skill, precision, and consistency every single time. It’s not just cooking, it’s a craft. The noodles were cooked perfectly — fresh with that ideal chewy bite (that legit noodle texture you hope for). I ordered #14 (Cold Noodle Chicken & Veggies), and it was amazing. So refreshing, balanced, and packed with flavor. I’m already planning my next visit because I need to try their stir fry or beef soup next. If you love fresh noodles made right in front of you, this spot is a must.
The noodles here are made fresh by hand, and you can definitely taste the difference in texture and quality. That said, the portion size felt underwhelming for the price. The amount of meat in the dish was quite minimal, which made it hard to justify the cost. While the handmade noodles are a highlight, there are likely other spots that offer better overall value for what you pay.
Our family loves this cozy hand-pulled noodle shop! While the interior appears small, it is cozy and perfect for the warm meal. I always get the stir-fry beef noodles! It's delicious with the right amount of spice and the beef is cooked to perfection. Having a halal place to eat that tastes this great is amazing. We love being able to see the cooking process too!
tldr; great food, great price, great service, great ambience. Definitely would eat here again. My family had noodles with soybean paste, braised beef soup, and chicken stir-fry with a side of tea flavored boiled egg and salads. The ambience was relaxed and decor was tasteful (especially the spices under the glasstop of the table). All the noodles had great chewy texture and it was fun to see them being handmade. The soybean paste noodles are a bit salty. The braised beef soup was great with the beef fork tender and the broth having deep flavor with a touch of heat. The stir-fry noodles were coated add there was a great wok flavor. The head chef and staff were very accommodating. They were proactive in anticipating our needs and provided great service.
Absolutely one of the best halal noodle restaurants I've ever tried! The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavors. The beef was tender, the broth was rich and perfectly seasoned, and every bite was satisfying. The portions were generous, and everything tasted like it was made with care. The service was outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. The restaurant was also clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere. If you're looking for authentic halal noodles, this place is a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to all my friends. 10/10!

Very disappointing experience at Calan Noodles. The portions were small, with little, flavourless beef, and the noodles were only lukewarm. The beef shank was dry, while the side dishes and tea egg were also poor. Not worth the price, and I won’t be returning.
Service was quick, staff was friendly. Food was delicious. My wife and I enjoyed everything we got. You get to choose your noodle profile and I chose the flat and wide. It doesn’t make you feel like crap like other noodle spots. The broth with satay had some kick but wasn’t too spicy. I finished the whole bowl and its broth. We will definitely be coming back - want to come back now.
