Family-run Uzbek and Central Asian cafe on an industrial stretch of Manilla Rd SE, at 4412 Manilla Rd SE. It is fully halal and one of the few Central Asian kitchens in Calgary. The dumplings, pelmeni and manti, are the first thing to order. Then try the plov (rice pilaf) and the baked somsa pastries. Save room for the homemade desserts, especially the honey cake. At weekends there is a separate menu for sharing, which is a good way to try several dishes at once. What to expect The room is cozy and family-friendly, and it is a good spot for a hearty meal on a cold day. The owner is attentive and takes care to make sure guests have a good time.
