My Donair
Halal donair shop at 5032 16 Ave NW in Montgomery, run by Tom and his mother, who spice and press the meat in house. The sister shop is in Westbrook. Come for the donair, not the shawarma. The beef is sweet-spiced, caramelises a little at the edges and comes with plenty of the sweet sauce. Regulars have been coming for years, and some drive over from across the city. Finish with the baklava, which is worth ordering. Parking and prices There is plenty of parking, and prices are reasonable for the amount of meat you get. Tom is friendly and happy to chat.
