Today I had the opportunity to shop at Bangla Bazar for the first time and purchased some meat. Unfortunately, when I got home and checked it, I found that it was not in acceptable condition. I called the store to explain the issue, expecting at least some understanding or an effort to resolve the concern. Instead, I was told, “This is what we sell,” and was even questioned about whether I knew how to prepare it properly. Rather than addressing the complaint professionally, the conversation became argumentative. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the products being sold. When a customer raises a concern, the minimum expectation is that they are treated with respect and their issue is taken seriously. What makes this more disappointing is that a friend of mine had a similar experience with the meat department a few weeks ago, where staff were reportedly rude and dismissive. This feedback is not meant to attack the business but to highlight an area that clearly needs improvement. Good customer service, professionalism, and respect for customers are essential for any successful business. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving the customer experience

Very well stocked store, having all desi grocery items. They were so accommodating that kept store open for me after closing hours as I had to pick up urgent items as I was flying out early morning. Highly recommended for Al grocery needs. Excellent service.

I travel from Banff to Calgary just to get some bengali groceries. This place has meat and mostly every bengali spices and sweets. I wish they had more vegetable options available. But overall a good store.

Lately the quality of fishes at the store has been poor, with smells and poor quality. Complained, no customer issue addressing on their part.Have been a regular customer at this store until now. Had to throw away 150$ worth of fishes.

Very disappointing experience at Bangla Bazaar. The cashier spoke to me in Hindi, and when I said I don’t know Hindi, instead of switching to English, he questioned why I didn’t know it. This is Canada, and English should be the default for customer service. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. Respect customers’ language preferences.
