I’ve ordered from Boardwalk Burgers Calgary a handful of times now, probably 6 plus, whether it’s dine-in, takeout, or delivery. This review is based on multiple visits, not just one off experience. ​Most recently, I tried the Tuesday crispy chicken sandwich special. The price is decent, but the sandwich itself didn’t really land for me. The tomatoes and the oversized lettuce were placed right on top of the chicken with sauce mixed in. Because of that, the crispy coating started soaking up moisture almost immediately and lost its crunch. The lettuce was actually bigger than the bun, and the tomatoes felt more tossed on than intentionally layered. The chicken fillet was also noticeably smaller than the bun and very thin. When you compare that to competitors who use thicker chicken that actually covers the bun, this felt underwhelming. ​On another visit, I tried the Classic Boardwalk burger, which is essentially their signature cheeseburger. I expected this to be their strong point, but it was another letdown. The slice of cheese wasn’t melted at all, and the patty looked cooled down and dry. Once again, that oversized lettuce stood out. It honestly felt like the cold lettuce cooled the patty even more, which likely prevented the cheese from melting properly. In my experience, I tasted more veggie and dry bun than actual beef. It was underwhelming, especially when you’re looking forward to that protein-forward bite. ​That said, not every visit has been bad. On another occasion, I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and a side of gravy, and this was actually a much better experience. The patty was juicy, and the mushrooms, cheese, sauce, and bun all worked well together. The fries were crispy and fresh, but the gravy was a bit clumpy, making it more like scooping chunks onto the fries rather than pouring a smooth gravy. ​The fries overall have been inconsistent across visits. About half the time they’ve been soggy with that heavy, oily feel. On a good day, they’re crispy, but that consistency just isn’t there. The interior also feels dim and more like a quick order-and-leave setup rather than a place you’d want to sit and enjoy your meal. Plus, the loyalty program is frustrating with the slow in-store tablet affecting the checkout flow. ​For context, I’ve tried places like Boogie Burgers, Class Clown Burgers, and spots like Five Guys and Fatburger. Compared to those, the difference is noticeable in portion size and quality. Those places feel more consistent, which makes them easy return visits. With Boardwalk Burgers, it feels like a gamble. If the food were consistently fresh and made to order the way the website suggests, the experience could be different. But at this location, the misses have outweighed the wins for me. ​This is my honest take.

Don't get the donair wrap i paid for extra meat and sweet sauce so dry and hardly any meat only went because it was close do not recommend. Bit the donair guy was very nice.

Came here for 2 reasons. Was hungry and was interested in franchisee from info on their website. Both fail. They close at 9pm. I ordered around 8:20pm. They told me and my son that we have to leave by 8:40pm. Food arrives at 8:31pm. We gobble our food as fast as we can. During this time they refuse paying customers because they already have most things closed up and tell them they have a few chicken fingers...nice job. Food: burgers are dry, like I dont think I've ever had patties this dry, they must have popped some old ones in a microwave or something. Both drinks ordered they put 80% ice. Meanwhile dude in kitchen area starred at us while I critiqued his master burger. Am I ever going back to this chain? Nope Am I ever investing money into this chain? Nope. Will I direct corporate to my review? Yes. Clean up your act guys. My picture taken at 8:53.

Stopped in for a burger and fries and was seriously impressed. The juicy burger and flavorful fires were perfectly cooked.Everything tasted fresh and well-made. The place might seem small from outside but it's pretty decent from inside. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable for you to enjoy your meal and not feel rushed. The staff here was also very attentive and friendly. I would totally enjoy coming back here again.

You know what customer service is? Customer service is what this location provided to me today. I ordered the wrong burger, paid for it, and then realized my error, fully expecting to pay for the more expensive burger. But the owner said don't worry about it, no problem. I will come back as often as I can to support this business. The cleanest burger joint I've seen, excellent food. Great job....
