This was our first shwarma experience & this location scored a touch down & ran in the extra points!! This quality, quantity & value earned them all the stars. The staff was smiling & welcomed us like family.. The extra points were reached by complimentary additional samosas as we left. We ordered them, expecting to pay as they were light, full & tasty but.. Smiles & parting waves met our attempts to settle up. I am only holding out one point for atmosphere as it is a takeout vibe and could be a bit better painted and up-keep to the facilities. They are very clean, just aging. Feed a family on a budget with gourmet offerings! #survivalinstructor

I've been visiting Shawarma Palace regularly since I arrived here in February, and it has been an excellent experience every single time! The trio platter is incredibly flavorful—the meat is perfectly cooked and never soggy, the potatoes are just soft enough, and it's served over a great bed of rice with a generous portion of crisp, fresh veggies. They even offer extra flatbread if you want it! I normally stay far away from anything with garlic due to the smell, but their garlic sauce is so delicious that I find myself requesting it on every visit. Even on busy evenings, the staff works with impressive professionalism to keep the queue moving smoothly without making clumsy mistakes with the orders. Exceptional food and service!

This was my first visit to Shawarma Palace, and unfortunately, it will definitely be my last. I spent approximately $64 on my meal. After I paid, the terminal displayed a rewards screen, but it disappeared before I even had a chance to enter my information. I asked the cashier how the rewards program worked, and she explained that the points could eventually be redeemed for money off a future purchase. When I asked how much approximately 60 points were worth, she told me around $4 to $5. I then asked why I couldn't receive or redeem the points from my purchase since the screen had disappeared before I could enter my information. Her response was simply that the screen was gone and there was nothing she could do. There was no attempt to help me, no suggestion of another solution, no offer to speak with a manager, and not even a simple apology. The issue isn't about four or five dollars. It's about basic customer service and showing customers that their business is appreciated. When someone spends $64 at your establishment, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a little effort, courtesy, and professionalism when an issue comes up. The overall experience also felt very unwelcoming. Even while my food was being prepared, there seemed to be very little positive energy or friendliness from the staff. I left feeling like my business simply didn't matter. To add insult to injury, I didn't enjoy the food either. In my opinion, it was bland and did not have the authentic Lebanese flavour I was expecting. Between the food and the customer service, the entire experience left a very bitter impression. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I was extremely disappointed, and I honestly would not recommend it even to my worst enemy. I sincerely hope the owner reads this review and takes it seriously. A genuine apology would be appreciated, but more importantly, I hope some attention is given to customer service and staff training so that future customers are treated with more care and respect.

HORRIBLE LOCATION On Sunday Dec 7, 2025 at 06:30 PM me and my wife had an extremely horrible experience at this location. I truly want to support small businesses, but customers deserve respect for what they pay. This restaurant needs to seriously reconsider its standards, because the way the food was served felt careless, disorganized, and far from acceptable. The portion we specifically paid extra for was simply ignored. Instead of receiving what we ordered, the plate came with random chicken pieces placed on top, as if they were trying to cover up the missing item. It felt misleading and unprofessional. As for the meat, calling it “doner” would be generous. The pieces were so oversized and uneven that it looked like someone had chopped them in a hurry without any technique. It lacked the finesse and thin slicing that define proper doner. The plating was the final disappointment. Rather than a well-composed dish, it looked like everything had been dumped onto one plate—rice, potatoes, salad, sauces, all mixed together—and then topped with meat in a careless way. For a dine-in experience, this level of presentation was shocking.

Tried Shawarma Palace Carrington for the first time today and I can see why people recommend it. I ordered delivery around lunch and the food showed up hot, which honestly surprised me because a lot of places don't travel that well. I got the chicken shawarma plate and everything was solid. The chicken wasn't dry, the rice was good, and the garlic sauce was unreal. The potatoes were probably my favorite part besides the shawarma itself. The portions were huge too, so I couldn't even finish it in one sitting. For what you get, I think the price is more than fair. I've had shawarma from a bunch of places around Calgary, and this is definitely one I'll order from again. Nothing felt cheap or like it had been sitting around for a while. You can tell they actually care about putting out good food. If you're debating where to order shawarma from, I'd say this place is worth trying. I'm already planning to try one of their wraps next time instead of the plate just to see how it compares. so yea definitly coming back here and bringing some people too, if I were you I would too, loving this place.

I've been coming to this location for around a year now and I can say that I've never been disappointed from the service of the team here. The staff is super friendly and nice, the food is hot and fresh every time and you will definitely have leftovers for the next day. And a special shout-out to Shabnam! She's the sweetest and friendliest of them all, always bringing forth her vibrant personality with a smile. Keep up the great work everyone!
