The Beltline Birdie, a halal fried-chicken counter in The District food hall on 11 Ave SW - hot honey and Nashville chicken sandwiches, sliders sold singly, poutine and onion rings. Marked fully halal on the community Halal Map YYC; the stadium branch at Shouldice is the other. What to order The hot honey chicken sandwich - a reviewer who had never written a Google review wrote one for it - and a poutine that passed a Quebecer's inspection, which for a food hall is rare. The plain jane sandwich is the quieter option. Buns run small for the chicken. One Friday night the lettuce had been out since morning, and the staff member said so; that is the one bad review.
