Everyone was so incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful while we decided what to order, it immediately felt like being with family. The donair was absolutely packed with fresh, delicious beef and chicken, and the garlic and sweet sauces really brought it all together. So tasty! We are definitely glad we went out of our way to try this place. Thank you, Amani, for making our first visit such a great experience! We will definitely be coming back the next time we visit Calgary :)
Absolutely amazing experience at Jimmy Mediterranean Middle Eastern Restaurant & Grocery in Calgary! I drove all the way from Vancouver, and one of the main reasons was to try their authentic Lebanese food. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of real flavour. What impressed me even more was their customer service. I watched them warmly welcome a family with kids who weren’t sure what to order, and they offered them samples so they could choose what they liked. They treated everyone with the same kindness, respect, and genuine hospitality. You rarely see this level of service anymore. Great food, great people, and authentic Lebanese hospitality. I had such a wonderful visit to this spot. Everything looked incredibly fresh and well-prepared behind the counter. It was impressive to see the rows of rotisserie spits turning in the back. I also really appreciated the clear labeling for the gluten-free dolmates and other options. I will definitely be back again soon.
I’ve been to this place several times already, and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely delicious every single time, and the service is consistently warm and attentive. Today, I especially want to highlight Jasna, who made our visit truly memorable. She welcomed us with such genuine warmth and kindness — it felt incredibly personal and heartfelt. It’s rare to come across service that makes you feel so comfortable and appreciated. They also have a beautiful patio, which creates the perfect atmosphere to relax, enjoy your meal, and spend quality time. I usually order the chicken shawarma, and it’s honestly the best shawarma in the city. I can’t recommend this dish enough — you absolutely have to try it! Highly recommend this place — I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Absolute delicious amazing customer service very homey vibe. You can tell that they put their love and heart into the food when you walk in. Words cannot describe how delicious this place is. The staff are amazing and the food is out of this world. Growing up in Vancouver, I always loved Donaires, and when I moved to Calgary, I was sad because I couldn’t find a good Donair place until I did, and it was this one, and it was even better than anything I ever had in Vancouver. By far the greatest Donair I have ever had ever. If I was on death row and being executed tomorrow, and they offered me a last meal, I would choose one of these Donaires.
We went to Jimmys a couple of days ago after moving to a new place and it did not disappointed at all. The workers were really nice and sweet and offered us samples to try so we’d be able to decide. I feel like the protein portion is on the smaller side compared to most shawarma places in calgary but the quality is surely worth it!
We were curious about all the hype around Jimmy’s A, so we decided to give it a try. Glad we did. The food was delicious and the portions were really generous. The garlic potatoes were super tasty, definitely a highlight. I ordered a platter and tried the chicken and samosas, it was okay but nothing special. Next time I’d probably go for the donair instead. Overall, really good experience and we’d definitely come back again.
summary: if you are looking at the reviews to decide whether or not to try out this place, your answer is yes, go and get the shawarma from this place!! don’t walk, run!!!!! 🏃♀️ oh my god!! this was my first time trying out shawarma in my whole life, and all i can say is… it was the perfect place to be to try out shawarma if you have never tried it!! when we went in, the atmosphere is pretty chill and overall quiet, we were greeted really well, and i was given a plate of mix of meats, sauces, and rice because we told them it was my first time trying!! and it was great that i had the opportunity to try it out before picking what i wanted as i had the chance to actually taste the food before choosing what i wanted! my boyfriend and i got 2 large shawarmas, and oh my god, i do kind of regret it because it is MASSSSSSIVE and HUGEEEE!! regretting from success!! haha! the lady placed so much veggies, and meat, my face was like “😧😮😲” constantly! we were able to ask if she could put the sweet sauce (RECOMMENDED! it is very nice, and makes the taste more POP) we also purchased tropical mango lemonade from the brand Calypso, and wow!! it is really sour yet we could taste each of the fruits that were added!! overall my experience here was amazing, the staffs are really friendly and kind, the food taste BOMBB, and the atmosphere is also really cozy and nice! the upstairs has more sitting areas, but it is a bit more chilly!! GO GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
