The presentation was good, but the shawarma was just average and didn’t meet our expectations compared to the Gulf-style taste. The BBQ platter was also not worth the price, as the quantity was quite limited. On a positive note, the hummus and garlic sauce were very good—my kids especially enjoyed them with the fries. Overall, it was an okay experience.

I recently tried the Large Mixed Donair Wrap at Damascus Fine Mediterranean Foods and it was honestly the best shawarma I’ve ever had! The wrap was fresh, very tasty, and full of flavor. The meat was juicy, the sauce was delicious, and everything was perfectly balanced. Big portion and very satisfying! I will definitely come back again. Highly recommend this place!

I am very disappointed with the quality and portion size of the shawarma meal I received from Damascus Restaurant in Calgary. I paid approximately $140 and expected a meal that reflected both the price and the reputation of authentic Syrian cuisine. Unfortunately, the food did not meet those expectations. The amount of mayonnaise was excessive—there seemed to be more mayonnaise than shawarma itself. The portion quality and overall presentation were far below what I would expect for a meal at this price point. As someone who was hoping to enjoy a taste of home and relive the authentic flavor of shawarma from my country, this experience was particularly disappointing. I paid a premium price expecting a professional standard of food, quality ingredients, and a memorable dining experience. I hope you take this feedback seriously and review both the food preparation and portion standards to ensure future customers receive the quality they are paying for. Thank you

Amazing shawarma while visiting Calgary. I’ve had a lot of shawarma in Toronto, but this was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything tasted very fresh, and the way they prepare the bread was on point.

Our experience was absolutely delightful here. Everything from the food to the service and the vibes. Portions are huge and we couldn’t finish any of our food even though it was irresistible. I got the arabic style shawarma. It was very delicious and tasted very authentic. The grape leaves were perfectly made. The best part of our meal was the Kunafa. Hands down the best I’ve had in Canada. We met the owner and he was very gracious and friendly. Our server was amazing as well. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be coming back.
