Spice Hut

A Pakistani kitchen on 4 St NE, just west of Deerfoot, that has been feeding the north for more than two decades - one reviewer has been coming for all of their 24 years in Calgary. Recently renovated, and the r/Calgary thread that recommended it asked people not to tell too many others. What to order The haleem, nihari and seekh kebab are the regulars' picks, with the fish pakora and mixed grill platter for starters and a butter chicken and tarka daal that newcomers rate. The lunch special is the value play. Naan comes out hot, and the owner greets takeout customers like old friends. Good to know Open daily 11am to 9pm. Reservations accepted; good for children and groups, vegetarian options, step-free entrance, free parking. Brunch through dessert. Dine in, take out or order for delivery. Rated 4.1 from more than 640 Google reviews.
