I had a fantastic experience at Bag O Crab! If you are looking for amazing seafood, this is definitely the place to go. The mussels were great and the shrimp was absolutely fantastic—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The portions are very generous too; the plates are big and you definitely get your money's worth. A huge shoutout to Queenie, Kevin, and Lay for their incredible service! They were so welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Top-notch food and excellent hospitality—I highly recommend checking them out!
The seafood boil was amazing. We went with combo one with crawfish, mussels and added a pound of shrimp. Did medium heat Louisiana flavour, also added 2 hard boiled eggs and shared chicken fried rice as well as garlic bread. It was great for all the extra sauce. This was for 2 of us with a beer each and it was $140.00. The shrimp were top notch, mussels were good too I thought small and the crawfish was good but a lot of work.
Another crab boil spot to check out in the city we heard this one’s a popular U.S. chain and one of the first to open in Calgary. The vibe is cozy and immersive, like you’re dining right on the pier with all the nautical décor setting the scene. We went all in with the combo for four, added a pound of scallops, plus chicken fingers and fries, all tossed in their classic Cajun sauce. The flavour? Bold, deep, and spicy the kind that hits every corner of your palate. We also threw in noodles that soaked up all that saucy goodness… absolute flavour bomb. It does get messy gloves would’ve been clutch but honestly, just dive in with your hands. It’s part of the experience. Overall, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth coming back to for round two.
Our family came to Bag o’ Crab for their seafood boils, and safe to say, it was absolutely mind blowing! We ordered the combo 4, which came with a plethora of seafood, smothered in a medium spicy Louisiana rub. Alongside that, we also got an order of garlic noodles and Spicy Korean wings, which were coated in a strong flavour of garlic and spice, respectively. We will definitely be back!
This was already our third visit to Bag O‘ Crab in a short time, and it definitely won’t be the last! This time we ordered the Combo Four and it was absolutely delicious — fresh seafood, great flavor, and generous portions. The seasoning was spot on and everything came out hot and tasty. The service was friendly and efficient even when it was busy. Always a fun and satisfying experience here. Highly recommend for seafood lovers!
