After a day of exploring Banff, I was happy to find Popeyes at Cascade Shops. I wanted something familiar, and it was exactly what I needed. The app gave me trouble when I tried to order, but the staff were so friendly and helped me sort it out quickly. My usual chicken and fries were fresh, hot, and delicious. The restaurant was clean, the service was fast, and everyone was welcoming. It was nice to enjoy a familiar meal in a new place. I’d definitely recommend stopping by!
I ordered chicken wings, but what I received looked more like a soup because there was far too much sauce. It seemed like the sauce completely overpowered the wings. I was also asking some questions about the sides, and the team member assisting me did not seem very pleased to help. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
I usually try to stay away from chain restaurants, especially when visiting a place like Banff, but our bus back to Calgary was leaving in 45 minutes and we needed something quick. I wasn't expecting much, but let me tell you, this food isn't good. It's GREAT. Everything was made fresh. My girlfriend and I both got the chicken tenders and fries, and both were hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. You could tell they came straight out of the fryer, not sitting under a heat lamp. The service was also super friendly, and while the food court itself isn't part of Popeyes, it's a nice, clean space to eat and relax before heading out. If you're in a pinch and need something fast, this Popeyes in Banff is definitely worth a stop. Fresh food, great flavor and friendly service. Can't ask for more!
Ordered the 5 for $35 option on Friday June 26th, with a specific order for 8 breast & 2 drumstick legs. We had to wait 15 minutes for a fresh batch. We actually got a mix of breast and wings? not really sure. But, it's fine, it didn't matter - this wasn't the issue. Pick went fine, and then we ate. Everything was fine until the that morning (June 27). Every one of us who ate the chicken got food poisoning. Major headaches, throwing up all night, and one of us in the hospital. We had several left overs, and that's getting tossed. Wasted $50 there.
