After reading reviews, I visited this shop for the first time. However, my experience was far from satisfactory. I purchased 8 lbs of beef with bone, and it was, without exaggeration, the worst meat I have ever bought. Out of the 8 lbs, 4 lbs were hard, solid bones with no marrow, essentially garbage. The remaining half was split between meat and fat, meaning I received only 25% actual beef. I absolutely do not recommend this shop and will never return. You can see the pictures for yourself and make your own decision.

We only went their once, he had a selection of steak, but frozen, also Cornish hen ( small chicken ) and ground beef. We bought a very good portion of it. First day the ground beef looks pink, next day in the freezer, when we went and took it out, it didn't look good, it looked like a very dark black color, not good looking and looks old and expired. How could he give us this type of meat? The meat First looked very pink and red, next day, and I am telling the truth, turned into solid black. I was going to return I but it's not worth it, you know we are not doing this for money, but quality of the meat is very cheap, and doesn't look safe to use. Steak was dry, like chewy. Chicken had no flavour at all and was dry as well. When you want to have a butcher meat shop like this just make sure that to be handling meat in a safe way. Not bad like that. So no thanks to this shop not coming here again.

In Calgary, Ummah Halal Meat (Waseem) provides excellent quality meat. The meat is always fresh, clean, and of very high standard. The service is reliable and trustworthy. A great place for halal meat. 👍
