from GoogleIt was an unplanned visit with a group of 10 people on a Thursday lunch hour. A group order a variety of different items, everything was delicious. The staff knew how to work efficiently and quickly to get the orders in, payments, and making the food. I love that they serve it on a wooden board and bring it to you at the table, which is a very nice to have from a fast food restaurant. This is my first time at Pita basket and an experience was great. I heard the Airdrie location is even better. Will be back again for sure.
I was disappointed with the chicken shawarma. The wrap was over-toasted and quite dry, making it chewy instead of crispy. It looked thin and didn't seem to have much filling. The sandwich also leaked sauce the garlic smelling, it didn't feel worth the price, and I've had much better shawarma elsewhere in Calgary Note: I ask for double chicken and we have 6 sandwiches not only one I love this restaurant unfortunately I'll return back
Had a fantastic dining experience here! The shawarma was delicious, and I tried a sweet dessert afterward that I didn't catch the name of, but it was absolutely fabulous—it was larger than baklava with a rich, delicious cream layer in between. My only small suggestion for dine-in shawarma: wrapping it in paper would help keep the sauces from making a bit of a mess while eating. Other than that, it was a very great experience overall, and I will definitely be coming back the next time I am in the NE!
Really disappointed because this place used to be our favorite. The quality has gone downhill badly. My chicken shawarma was mostly burnt pieces of chicken, some bites were so overcooked and hard I could barely bite through them. It smelled burnt and was extremely dry with barely any sauce for both my shawarma and my partner’s beef donair. I ended up throwing away half of it because it was not eatable. They also forgot my drink again. I paid for a Pepsi (I know because I added it late and read through the screen, I was for sure charged) but didn’t realize until after. I said no receipt, so I couldn’t even prove it when I noticed. On top of that, the wait times have become so long lately. I used to recommend this place all the time, but after this experience, I honestly don’t think I’ll be coming back.
I have always wanted to try Lebanese Arayes and this was the perfect place to go! The food is great and the owner is super nice. He gave my food on a wooden platter and garnished it with extras free of charge. Best service I have received in Calgary. Must Visit!
Amazing food at Pita Basket! The shawarma was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Great taste and a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
Disappointed with the beef shawarma plate, rice didnt taste nor smell freshly cooked, i couldn't identify if its actually beef or whatever they say it was, i had to dispose of the food sadly and went over to edo.
Falafel wrap is soooooo good
So i called the store and made an order for pickup 20 minutes before getting there. I had ordered 2 tawouk sandwishes . When i arrived they hadnt even put the tawouk to cook yet and they were all chatting. He rushed my order and the spoon he flips the tawouk with falls down on the ground and he picks it up and uses it again. Very disgusting and not organized . Worst place ever and straigjt disgusting. I will be reporting this.
I had the crispy OG chicken shawarma sandwich and it was delicious. All of our plates were tasty and nicely presented. Service was excellent especially Ramy very nice and welcoming.
Perfect Lebanese breakfast! The fatteh is a must!!! very tasty and well balanced. We also had the meat pie and zaatar & cheese, both light and delicious. The fresh bread is one of the best in the city. Keep up the good work 🙂
Got takeout at this location after having a really great experience at the Airdrie Pita Basket. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food as there was barely any flavour on the chicken shawarma wrap that I got. My brother ordered a chicken shawarma plate and noted that the potatoes tasted off that day. Sorry to say that I will have to revisit this location but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that it might have just been an off day for them. Regardless, the service was still quick and friendly!

The fatteh is the one to order, and diners call it a must. The meat pies and the za'atar and cheese are light and well liked, and the fresh bread is a highlight, with one diner calling it among the best in the city. Platters come on a wooden board at the table, which diners find a nice touch. There is a kids menu, so the restaurant suits families.

It works well for a group. A party of ten came in at lunch and had their orders out quickly. The restaurant takes reservations, which helps for a bigger party.
