Anatolia Turkish Restaurant is a fully halal Turkish stall inside Calgary Farmers' Market South on 77 Avenue SE. It is run by the Anatolia restaurant on 52 Street NE, and the menu covers doner wraps, lamb shank plates, borek, baklava and kunefe. What to order The lamb shank plate is the meal to get. The doner wrap is well filled and makes a good lunch to eat while you walk the market. The lahmacun and çiğ köfte are also worth ordering. For dessert, the walnut baklava and kunefe are not too sweet and travel well if you want to take some home. If you do not like greasy pastry, skip the spinach borek. Take bread home The fresh-baked bread has no preservatives, so it goes stale in about two days. Eat it within a couple of days of buying it. The stall also sells Turkish groceries and sweets.
