Symons Valley United Church is a caring place to worship. We have been attending this church for 17 1/2 years since our oldest was 5 months old. There is a space for all ages to worship with love and respect. Whether you are 0-99+ years you will find programs that will fit you. We have an excellent choir, Kids Club( Sunday school), youth groups, small group worship times, book studies, congregational meals and many more programs. I encourage you to come and see for yourself.

One of the wonderful things about Christianity is that there are churches and groups for every type of person. Are you the type of person who loves to spread the good news about Jesus Christ - to follow the “Great Commission”, if you will? Wonderful, there are a number of churches full of good people who are highly motivated to do just that. Are you the type who feels more led to help care for the impoverished, the sick, and those who the world has marginalized? You’re in luck - this is a congregation which feels that this is their role in the wider Christian church, and has embraced it wholeheartedly. This is not a particularly large church - a few hundred people, at most, which means that generally no one will fade into the background. People will remember your name, remember what’s going on in your life, and ask how you’re doing. However, it punches way above its weight in the quality of the services and the diversity of things to do, whether it’s offering relevant study groups, feeding those staying at the Drop-In Centre, or offering participation in an fantastic choir. The services themselves are wonderful as well. Vicki (our minister) and Stephen (an ordination candidate) always present interesting, relevant sermons that remind the congregation on a weekly basis to do and to be good in a world that desperately needs it, to follow the instructions of Jesus as given to his followers. This church, though, does understand that the communities it serves includes a lot of young families, and for those who can’t do sermons yet, there’s a very well-run Sunday school, and for those too young for even that, there’s a (soundproof) room well-stocked with age-appropriate toys. So, yes, I can and do recommend this church for those in the surrounding communities that are looking for a church home. (Quick disclaimer: While I am not currently a member of this church, my family and I do attend services here.)

The Twelfth Night Choir Performance was wonderful and Symon’s Valley United Church was an excellent Venue. Lots of Parking Seated 300 people comfortably and very large stage.

What a wonderful and welcoming church community! Singing in the choir brings me joy and is a great place to get to know other church members. It is also amazing how many groups are associated with this church and building. It certainly is the heart of the community.

We take our kid to soccer here the soccer staff are amazing but the church staff are down right rude and Soo mean to the kids! One lady yelled at a kid last week and the poor kid cried to break her heart. The same lady always has a dog there hanging out as well and if course the kids wanna say hi but apparently the dog is not nice to kids so why the hell is it inside a church. Not a very welcoming place at all
