Lutador
A halal Brazilian fire kitchen in Kensington at 14 St and 5 Ave NW — all-you-can-eat churrasco carved tableside, Brazilian pizza, and live-coal cooking, newly opened in 2026 under chef Brodie Nutbrown. The zero-proof bar is the headline. Lutador bills itself as Canada’s first sober sports bar and Brazilian BBQ: the bar is entirely non-alcoholic, which makes it one of the very few full-service steakhouse rooms in Calgary with no alcohol on the premises at all — a genuinely rare thing at this end of the menu. Listed as halal on the strength of local confirmation rather than a published certificate; the restaurant is new and its published material does not yet name a certifying body, so ask about sourcing when you book if certification specifically matters to you.
