First time visiting Hitchki but as soon as I walked I noticed the vast selection of hot and fresh food. Overall the restaurant was very clean and well maintained and the staff were efficient and polite. We had drinks delivered to our table within minutes of arriving. The buffet was incredible, with hot and fresh dishes that looked and smelled amazing. The veriety was great and all the dishes were flavorful and great quality. A wonderful woman named Kush approached us and asked us for feedback. She was very pleasant as was the rest of the wait staff. The washrooms were also clean and I good condition. I will definitely be returning and recommending Hitchki to my friends and family.

Our recent visit to HITCHKI restaurant was honestly one of the best buffet experiences we’ve had for Indian food in Calgary, and this place did not disappoint us at all. Usually with buffet restaurants, you either get quantity over quality, but HITCHKI has truly maintained the standard of both. They have an incredible variety of dishes — almost around 150 items — and every dish felt fresh and well made. What made the experience even better was their amazing staff. If it’s your first time visiting, they even give you a little tour of the buffet, which was such a sweet gesture. Everyone served with a smile and made sure we were taken care of throughout the visit, even though the restaurant was quite busy. They also have a private space for hosting small parties and gatherings, which is a great addition. And if buffet isn’t your thing, they do offer an à la carte menu too — but honestly, I would highly recommend going for the buffet because the variety is absolutely worth it. My personal favorites were the Dal Makhni and the Chaat Corner — absolutely loved them! Their drinks menu is also really good and complements the whole experience perfectly. One thing to keep in mind is that the weekend buffet prices are slightly higher, so if you want to enjoy the same amazing experience at a lower price, weekdays are definitely the better option. If you’re in Calgary and looking for a proper Indian buffet experience, HITCHKI is definitely a must-visit!

Everything about the experience—the service, atmosphere, ambience, arrangements, and management—was exceptional. The only disappointment was the food, which was barely average. Staff were very courteous but the food does not have the taste ! Variety and quantity of food doesn’t matter when the taste buds does not feel the authenticity. Unfortunately I would not open to be spending any money and time here, except deliberately invited by somebody else.

We had a late flight into Calgary and we were looking for a place that was open late and quick. The car rental representative suggested this restaurant and we were so glad we listened! Even at 10:00pm they were putting out fresh food and hot fresh naan. The spice levels were perfect and all of the items were savory and delicious with lots of variety. The dole whip and vanilla soft serve was the exact thing we needed to end with. The host and waitstaff were warm, welcoming and attentive. We may have to stop on the way home!

This spot is awesome! It’s got a killer Google rating and it totally lives up to it. I showed up right when they opened at noon and I was impressed. The place has that real Indian vibe with beautiful traditional decor, but it’s super clean and well-kept – no heavy greasy restaurant smell at all. It actually smells fresh and nice, kinda like a good hotel. First time trying Indian food and damn, I loved it! The flavours were rich, bold, and seriously tasty. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely be back! 👍
